Ein sipped her coffee, her taste buds amused with its sweetness craved for more.
" So the book missing from the synod is the fake copy of the book of life?" Aze confirmed once again. Zem nodded.
They four had picked Zem's room as their planning room. Each of the four had seated in each corner of the room, books were spread open everywhere.
"This is my 20 the book. ugh I am fed up with the searching" Ol complained
"and it's more surprising that the book is not even mentioned once anywhere " Zem shouted out in protest.
" Hey guys, take a look at this" Ein suddenly shouted.
They all gathered around her and started skimming through the page she had kept open. After a few seconds frustration replaced their curious expressions.
"Are you kidding me Ein, this is some gibberish about some language. I thought you found something" Zem complained
"wait. is that?" Aze looked at Ein for approval.
she nodded excitedly. They both focussed back on the book."Can you guys stop with the creepy eye conversation and tell us what is going on?" Oliver finally busted out.
"you guys see these characters written here?"Ein pointed out.
They looked at it.
"What is unusual about that?" Oliver enquired.
"its the same characters the book of aura and the letter is written in" shouted zem.
"yes. It is said in this book that it is a language called 'Irkumze' which was created by the first Selene queen. While she was ruling the kingdom it was in turmoil. There were people who were undercover spies who snitched the kingdom secrets to other kingdoms. They started to lose their magic as well as wealth as people started stealing them. So Selene devised a plan which was the Irkumze. It was spoken only by the people of the moon kingdom so that, they can communicate whatever secrets they want in the public without being worried to be overheard of. It is like a secret code of our generation and the language is bound with a curse. If a person from a different kingdom tries to learn this all their memories will be wiped off, leaving them like a newborn baby . pretty cool ain't it?" Ein could barely contain her excitement.
The others were eager to know more about it.
"even all the scholars started publishing their valuable books in their language. After many years when the kingdom had regained its wealth and prosperity people started using less of this language. Some scholars had recorded it in books so that future generations can study them. Some of those translation books were ' Irkumze idyll' and 'phraseology irkumze'.
They were all deep in thought.
"I think we are going the right way. this must be our stepping stone" Zem shouted.
"wait. Ein do you have that letter with you?" Aze asked.
"yes right here" she picked up the letter and gave it to Aze ,confused.
he took it and went near the lamp and started examining it.
They were all watching him."yes I knew it" Aze shouted and walked towards them, and gave the envelope to them. The three of them scanned the letter for something interesting. Nothing special only the things which were there before. They looked at Aze questioningly.
Aze strolled to the light the three of them tailing him. They huddled around him. He pointed towards the right side corner. They came closer to look. There it was, a tiny paragraph all in the Irkumze language.
"When you showed me the letter first I noticed something on the side but left supposing it might be some stamp. now it stuck me .it must be something" Aze said.
They looked appreciatingly at him. What sharp eyes, a handsome genius thought Ein. Suddenly he looked at her as if he read her thoughts and gave a smirk. Their eyes met. She looked down immediately.
"do you want me to on the Ac Ein? You look like having heat strokes" Zem pointed out. Aze chuckled at this. Ein blushed harder.
"it's okay " she mumbled.
"Ein you said that when you touched those letters it translated right?" Oliver pointed out.
"yeah" she replied.
"it won't this time," Aze said.
She took the letter and brushed her fingers through the tiny paragraphs. Seconds and minutes passed nothing happened.
"How did you know?" zem asked in surprise. They all turned to Aze.
"I think that was clear from the description of Irkumze. The person wanted to keep it as a secret from other people. The other part of the letter automatically translated because the Selene wanted it to reveal and it was okay if some others read it. This part is hidden as she wished it to be. She didn't want others to know it.It must be a clue to our scavenger hunt maybe" Aze said thoughtfully.
"so she has given us a clue to find the book and didn't mention anything about clues in the letter?" Ein repeated
"she might have thought the letter would reach evil hands" ol explained.
"So we must first find the translation books to read this clue. Anyone has any idea where the book is now?" they looked blankly at each other.
Footsteps echoed through the corridor they started running here and there to hide the books and any evidence of what they were searching for.
"zem" she had reached the door.
Still, there was a stack of books. Ein pulled the bed sheet and covered it all together.
Zem opened the door."yes, mom" she replied innocently.her mom was trying hard to scan the room for any clues.
"come and have lunch kids," she announced and withdrew from the room.
They all let out the breaths they were holding.
"before we go down, let's decide where we will start the search of the book from," Zem inquired.
"as the synod library and our bookshop are the largest in our area, let's split up and start from there" Aze said.
They all nodded in approval.
