GUARDIAN

|||||||| Congratulations on translating the message.
The book of life is a sacred one and can't be found that effortlessly. It was concealed from the populace for more than a thousand years.

The book of life is bound to its guardian like a mother to her child.

One must locate the guardian to attain the book of life.

The guardian guides the path to the book.

But the guardian has been severed into pieces of seven.

I found two segments of it during my lifetime, which is embedded behind my heart, it has the pedagogy to find the other five pieces.

The one who joins all the segments of the guardian will be the possessor of the book of life |||||||||||

"What sort of clue is this?" Ol asked.

"after all the hardships we went through to get the translation book. We are back in column one" Ein confessed in disappointment.

They were all surprised to learn the happenings of the night before and were as clueless as Ein was. Except Oliver had unwound a little about the Selene la Sfera, were used in the coronation ceremony of the new Selene. each of them had their rationales as to why the daturas behaved in that way, Like she looked like someone they lost or they were testing her etc .But none of them had a valid explanation for the attitude,unconsciously Ein's hands clasped the necklace in her neck. Was there anything vital she has missed? Or maybe the daturas had made a mistake? someone pinched her hard.

"ein are you even in this world" Zem yelled.

They were all looking at her. She gave a sheepish smile which pointed out she had not even listened to one word they had been talking for the past five minutes.

"what do you think about the translated message?" Aze repeated. Ein opened her mouth to answer.

"what if we have messed up the translation or jumbled up the words?" Zem interrupted her

Ein opened and closed her mouth like a fish.
All of them once again bend their heads to the book with the letter close and began translating letter by letter. After getting the same result for the third time ,they cried out in defeat.

"What does she mean behind her heart? Are we supposed to dig up her dead body and dissect her?" Zem yelled.

"But where do you find her body?" Ol asked thoughtfully

"Are you serious right now?" Zem kicked his foot under the table.

Ouch, he yelled in pain.

"This must be a riddle. I guess she doesn't mean the literal heart. something similar to it." Ein said.

All their eyes brightened for a moment, they all started to think. after a few seconds, they were all either looking at the wall or table.

"Do they make this kind of riddles those days? the ones in the books and movies are far easier than these." zem complained.

"and who even pieces a guardian into seven pieces? It was better to kill him" Ein voiced out.

"I think we are thinking about it all the wrong way. Like Ein said we must focus on the riddle to find the answer" Oliver instructed

"okay we must start again from the first" Zem moved the clue closer.

"guardian. Who guards the book?" Zem continued.

"no I think it is not referring to a person," Ein said.

"Neither do I, if it is a person the seven pieces part doesn't make any sense," Aze said.

"maybe it's kind of stone, broken into seven pieces?" Zem reasoned.

"anything can be possible" Aze nodded.

"no, I don't think it is a stone. Maybe a paper shred into seven pieces?" Oliver said

"its more likely to be paper, as the simile like a mother to a child is used. Books have papers inside them which it protects like a mother does " Ein said

"Woah that's so cool.such deep meanings," Oliver mumbled.

Everyone agreed the guardian must be a paper.

"What kind of paper guides the way to the book?"Aze asked

"maybe it's a journal" zem pointed out "the book of aura maybe? it even has the photo of her on the front" both Ein and Aze looked at her confused. Which meant Oliver knew it too

"Oh, you guys don't know? when we were kids, I had asked mom who the lady was on the book of aura, she said it was the previous Selene"Zem explained. They all nodded in approval, falling deep into an abyss of thoughts.

"wait. A paper that shows the path. What do we use when we don't know the way to any place?" Zem continued yelling

"phones?" Oliver answered.

"no you stupid, in olden times"

"map" three of them shouted in unison.

"yes," zem yelled in excitement.

"so the guardian is a map. Which is torn into seven pieces,two segments have been found and we don't know where they are" Aze summarised their findings.

"We have been doing good so far Aze. Its a matter of time before we find the place where it is hidden," Oliver said supportively.

"embedded behind her heart. What does that mean?" Zem thought aloud.

"maybe behind someone she loves?" Ol implored.

"no way, as far as I know, she hasn't entrusted any humans except us, it must be something inanimate," Aze said .

"Everyone think about heart shapes ,mould or anything you can think of" Zem ordered.

They all were deep in thoughts. Nothing came to their mind.Ein checked the time ,it was almost night she must reach home.

"Hey guys I must go home, its already late let us catch up tomorrow, call me if there is anything urgent" Ein got up.

"Aze will drop you off," Zem said with a twinkle in her eyes "Aze how can you let her go alone, take her home " Zem ordered turning to Aze.

"I can walk from here zem" Ein added widening her eyes at Zem .

But Aze had already got up from his seat and moved towards the door.

"Have a great journey Ein" Zem called out with a wink.

Was she setting them up? No way, why would she suddenly out of nowhere?. Aze was waiting for her outside.

Ein got into his car. It smelled of his cologne. she slowly inhaled the smell, it was soo good. she straightens out her expression so that he won't notice.

"Do u want to grab a coffee?" Aze asked

"Sure" she replied

They parked in front of a cafe he got out and went inside the coffee shop. after a few minutes returned with two coffees,gave one to her
How did he know frappuccino was her favorite?

"Why do you think the daturas acted like that yesterday" they had not got time to talk about this alone, after rushing off with the book from the library.

"I too have no idea " Aze replied

She wanted to fire a lot of questions but decided against it and turned towards the window sipping her frappuccino. Where must be the map hidden? Where was her heart? Maybe something that has her heart? what kind of paper has her heart? maybe a book she loves?is it the book of aura? or maybe behind a photo of her? wait a photo.
