Blake drove home that evening with the feeling of his lips still pressed against hers. She couldn't believe that it had actually happened. A boy, no a man, had finally kissed her after her twenty-two years on earth. And not just any man, no. A handsome, kind, strong, and determined gentleman kissed her.
After the initial kiss, he kissed her once more and then again when she left his house for the evening, with a promise that there would be more of that to come. She was looking forward to him fulfilling that promise.
She walked into her house, a huge smile on her face. Her mother who was sitting at the kitchen table noticed her daughter's unusual demeanor. "What's got you smiling like that?" She inquired.
"Just Caiden," Blake answered, not revealing any more information. The smile stayed on her face as she stood over the stove making dinner, as she cleaned her room and bathroom that evening, and as she spent the night texting him
When she arrived at Caiden's home the next morning, she practically ran up the porch stairs in excitement to see him. When she opened the door, she saw him standing over the stove making breakfast.
"Good morning, darlin'," he greeted when she walked through the door.
"Good morning, Caiden. Making breakfast before you leave?"
"No, I ate already. I'm making you breakfast," he answered.
"Caiden," she groaned. "Stop it. You've done too much for me already and I know that you said you do it because you want to, but you wake up so early to go work a laborious job, you don't need to do this for me."
Caiden turned around and met her annoyed gaze. A large smile graced his handsome face.
Oh, he's beautiful. She'd do anything to keep that smile permanently etched on his face.
"Are you done?" She said nothing but crossed her arms over her chest.
He placed the pancakes he was cooking on to a plate and put the plate along with butter, syrup, and silverware on the kitchen table beside her. "Here you go, grumpy," he said and kissed the side of her head.
"I'm only eating these because you already made them and I don't want to be ungrateful. But don't do it again." She said.
Caiden gripped her hip in his hand and pulled her body toward him. He lowered his head, touching his lips to her ear. "I'll do whatever I want for you, sweetheart." His voice was deep and husky. Chills arose on her neck and traveled down her body at his response. He was just so seductive. "Eat."
She sat down on the chair in front of the spot where Caiden placed the plate. The pancakes were delicious, better than any pancakes she or her mother ever made. When she was finished, Caiden took her plate to the sink. "That was good, thank you," she said.
"I have to leave, Darlin. I'll see you when I get home," he said. He bent his head and kissed Blake, slipping his tongue past her lips. They broke away a few seconds later, Blake's face covered in a pink blush.
"Have a good day," she said.
"You too, darlin."
"Hi baby Wesley," Blake cooed when she walked into Wesley's room. She heard him speaking baby talk over the baby monitor.
She picked him up from the crib and cradled him to her chest. "Are you hungry?" She asked. "Well, I'm gonna get you a bottle and we will see if you are."
She went downstairs, heading to the kitchen to mix up a bottle of formula for him. She made sure it wasn't too warm and then stuck the bottle in his mouth. He must've been hungry because he immediately started eating.
