"Where are you going tonight?" Diane asked. Blake had curled her hair and applied some light makeup in an attempt to look better than normal.
"I'm going out with Caiden," she responded as she pulled her shoes on.
"Where at?"
"I'm not sure. He says it's a surprise."
"Oh," Diane said, "Have a good time."
"Thank you," Blake responded, feeling kind of strange. Her mother hadn't said anything so nice to her in years.
Shortly after, she heard the ring of the doorbell at the front door. She pulled the door open to reveal Caiden standing in front of her. He was in a pair of jeans and a flannel shirt. He looked so good.
"Hello, sweetheart," he greeted.
"Hi, Caiden."
"You curled your hair," he commented as his hand ranched out to touch a strand of her curled hair. He hadn't seen her hair curled before.
"Yeah, I thought I would do something different," she answered.
"You look beautiful as always," he said, then placed a kiss on her forehead. "Are you ready to go?"
"Yup!" She answered. She was excited about her first date.
When they walked outside, she raised her hand and smacked him softly on the shoulder. He didn't turn around to face her, but she saw his lips pull up into a cocky smirk.
"Caiden!"
"What, Darlin?"
"You know what! Look at these things!" She exclaimed and pointed to the dark spots on her neck. She tried her best to cover them with makeup, but anyone could still see there was something on her neck.
She glared at him while he opened the truck door for her. He just maintained the smirk he already had on his face. When he got in, he reached over and tilted her chin so he could look at the marks better.
"Damn those are nice," he said, complimenting his own work. Blake rolled her eyes, but couldn't help her smile. She did like seeing his marks on her body. It made her feel wanted and desired by him.
He leaned over and kissed the bigger of the two hickeys and she gasped and shoved his arm. "I think you've done enough there Caiden!" He shot her a smile. An absolutely gorgeous smile that made her face heat up.
Blake turned around in her seat to see Wesley but was a little surprised when she didn't see him. "Where's Wesley at?"
"He's with my mom for the evening. I thought it could just be us for the night."
Her cheeks burned at his words. "Where does your mom live?"
"She lives about an hour and a half away. That's why she can't watch Wesley for me much."
"Oh, I see. That's nice that she took him tonight. So what is this date going to consist of?" She inquired.
"A picnic," he responded. "Out in the field."
Caiden pulled his truck into the field behind his house. He then got out and opened up the back driver's side door where he pulled out a picnic basket, one Blake hadn't seen earlier.
Then he unrolled his truck bed cover to reveal an arsenal of pillows and blankets. "That looks comfy," Blake commented.
"That's the point, sweetheart." She jumped up onto the bed of the truck and moved the picnic basket out of the way for him.
