Blake woke up the next morning to the sounds of birds chirping. She was warm and cozy wrapped in blankets, and even cozier being pressed against Caiden's body. She knew she should be freaking out about the fact that she spent the night with this man and it was only their first date, but she couldn't find herself to care much. His presence and touch were too nice, too calming, for her to want to leave it.

"Good morning," Caiden said from behind her. His voice was husky with morning drowsiness, so he must have just woken up as well. She was already so obsessed with his sleepy morning voice.

"Good morning," she said back. Caiden's chest was pressed to her back. He had an arm across her waist and a leg draped across her legs.

"How did you sleep?" He started to run his hand soothingly through her hair, gently combing through the tangles that had formed during her sleep.

"Good," she replied. "Really good. How did you sleep."

"Really good."

"How long have you been awake?" She asked.

"I woke about about twenty minutes before you, not that long. I don't sleep in, so my body is used to getting up around 6:30."

"It's 6:30?" Blake asked. She never woke up that early on the weekends.

"Well almost 7 now," he said. Blake turned around in his arms so that she could face him rather than him speaking to her back.

"When's Wesley coming back?"

"I'm gonna go pick him up around 2 today. My mom came down and got him yesterday afternoon so I'll go pick him up."

"Is he okay with being away from you? Like did he cry at all?" She asked. She hoped little baby Wesley didn't get too sad.

"Mom said he cried the whole car ride back to her house, but he finally tired himself out when they got there."

"Awe," Blake said. "Well, at least he'll be home soon."

She brought her hand to his face and cupped his cheek, letting her thumb glide across his cheek down to his stubbly jaw.

"I have to go to the store later with my friend, Ronnie. She wants to buy a dress for some event she's going to with her sugar daddy," Blake said. She didn't want to go with Ronnie.

"A sugar daddy? You don't seem that interested in going."

"Yeah she met him on some dating app. And I'm not interested in going," Blake sighed. "I love Ronnie, but it just feels like a one-sided friendship. I do things for her but she doesn't do the same for me."

"Don't go with her then," Caiden said as if it were that simple. Oh, the ignorance.

"It's not like that, Caiden. We are girls and we are complicated," she said.

"I don't see what's so complicated, Darlin. She clearly doesn't respect you as she should. She doesn't deserve you."

"Well I appreciate the sentiment, but I already promised her I would go and I don't like to break promises."

Caiden shook his head. "Don't let people take advantage of you, Blake."

She wasn't sure what to say to that, so she just laid there and didn't say anything. She was very aware of his hand running up her back and his hard muscles pressed against the front of her body.

Caiden lifted his leg and shoved the blanket off himself. "Are you still cold?" He asked.

"No, I am getting kind of warm." The sun was rising and bringing the heat with it. Caiden pulled the blankets off her as well and tossed them behind him.
