62.Funerals

Joshua's P.O.V

After the funeral Iz and I stayed at her house sicne she had to visit the lawyer the next morning.She shows me around the entire place telling me about incidents in her life and how everyday was with her dad and Dellilah. Later at the meeting in attorney's office the man tells us about the trust in her name leaving all her dad's money and saving along with the house in Iz's name.Her family had stayed over and it's a good thing I knew Spanish coz they prefered speaking it over English even though they did.

The day after we return back to our apartment Iz adjust to her state and life,a few sad moment and relapses her and there as she remember about her dad.We spend the night with her telling me stories from her past since I didn't ever want her to forget the moment she had with him.

A month gones by in a blur with me attending classes,going to work and makng sure Iz is alright.Work at the company on me has reduced slightly because the project has launched and the burden and stress in it's perfection has passed.Reed had suggestrd that I take sme more time of to make sure Iz is find but I know I can balance my life just fine;taking care of the love of my life and my professioin.Iz stays busy with her studies and planning ahead for the winter session exam along with her assignments. We both have made more time for eachother in our hectic lives making sure the other is going well.Somehow our bond has grown stronger with her dad passing away;he was the one who tested our relatinhsip and made it grow.Iz's mom visits often to make sure she's fine along with my mom dragging us out for dinners so we aren't cooped up all day in the bedroom as mom said.

We attended her dad's month mind;a day of remembrance after a month of a death during our spring break. Having layed flowers we sat down as she talked to her dad having lyed in my chest.Telling him how her life has changed and how even after all of this she found hope in her life all because of him;because he never gave up.The rest of the day she shows me around Albany.

During the break Maddie invited us all friends to her penthouse to spend some time together are all the time we barely went out together since everyone had been busy with their own work,life getting more hetic now as our sophomore year nears a close in two months. Maddie has been bust with her company matters every now and them,Aiden stuck with basketball,workouts and pracrices along with a scholarship option and scots,Becketts had been working on a software for an company,Cass with her pregnancy,Ty withh is career and pregnant wife and Melody making up for her losrt time with Jordon. He had come out at the being of March.

We all played games till night, having watched movies and for once after a long time in our lives we had been irresponsible. Having stayed up all night and relieved the friendship days we all somehow missed.

Today,Moday,a day after the party at Madisson's I'm busy with numbers at my desk,needing few minutes to round everything off when I notice my boss exit his room.

"After you're done with your work Mr. Coleman I'd like you to collect a file from the CEO office to review.I want the results in two hours time,"my boss smirks.

"Sure thing Mr. Johnson," I smirk back accepting the challenge as he walks away for some meeting.Having completed my work I lesve it at boss' desk making my way to the elevator as I ring my dear cuz. "Got any of your bones broken by your in law or Cassy?"I chuckle hearing a sinster fake chuckle surprising me coz I know who it is.

"Baby has been complaining to you?"she asks with amusement making me chuckle.

"Nothing you don't know and a golden band can't keep from you,"I smirk hitting the button to his floor. "How are you and my little godchild doing?God am I going to spoil her,"I chuckle knowing I'd completely spoil the little thing before she can even talk.
