28.Realizations and reactions

Walking in through those doors I try pushing back every thought of the conversation I had with Iz so this deal goes fine.Mr. Rivera told me to attend it with him for experience and a chance at seeing how I work with negotiating. Well I have a wonderful start of being late;twenty minutes late and it will probably end with me being fired.This deal is huge for the on going project I'm heading.

"Tardiness isn't accepted Mr Coleman,"Mr. Rivera booms as I spot him at the corner of the room and for the first time he looks furious.

"I understand that Mr. Rivera and I shall bear it's consequence but we've got a meeting to attend,"I tell him flat just waiting for this to end or I can fix things with Iz. I was a liitle too harsh on her and I need to apologize to her.I've been taught never to take of my anger at awoman but that was hurt.But that still didn't give me the excuse to treat her that way.I know I hurt her in it all but she needs to accept the fullness of what happened and she's not readhy to do it.When I propose putting Zach behind bars it wasn't only because of her but all the other women as well.No woman deserves to go through that,no one.I know I wouldn't like it that happened to anyone I know or don't.A woman is a woman and should be treated with respect and dignity no matter what.

"Indeed we do unless she just cancels the entire deal,"he states just as flatly as I did as he walks to the glass door where there's a large table surround with eigth chairs on both sides and two chairs on each end.A man in a suit sits on the chair ot the far right while a chair's back faces us.I have a strong feeling it's going to be Jason since he is the CEO of this branch or their parents but since this is the closing deal but bets on Jason.

"Mr. Rivera,"the man says;he's the president of the branch.

"Well it's nice of you to finally show up but I don't believe we have anything to discuss anymore Mr. Rivera,"the voice says as I don't believe my ears but when the chair spins around to reveal her me both gasp. "Josh?"

"Madd-Miss Gray," I smile at her as she regains her business face. Well, we both did I never expected to see her siting on the chair and boy is she serious in her business. "I'm really sorry about the inconvenience. There were some important things to take care of,"I tell her as she raises her eyebrows at me questioning as I nod.

"More important? You really shouldn't have tried wasting our time.It's wonderful that our deals off,"he says as I greet him kindly ignoring his remark.

"Are you trying to mess thing up more?"Mr. Rivera whispers to me as I try and maintain my cool.You're in a meeting, your personal life does not mix in your work at least not harmfully effecting it,I tell myself as Maddie speaks and I'm grateful.

"Ten minutes is all I'm giving you.Give me a good offer or you know where the door is,"she says as I nod taking a seat along with Mr. Rivera who stares at me like I'm crazy and going to mess very thing up but I don't blame him I did just mess it up.If it was Maddie we'd be screwed.

"Thank you Miss Gray,"I smile at he talking about the proposal and benefits of their company through it along with ours,coz that's just how you play fair but in a sneaky way by messing with their mind.Through the meeting I realize Maddie is actually good in business. She probably already studied it before being the heir of a multi-million company.

"I think we have a deal,"Maddie smiles shaking Mr. Rivera's hand as I breathe out a breath I didn't realize I was holding.This day has been nothing but stressful.Maddie ask the president to leave as she reads the final document making sure it's correct.

"If I may know what was so important to make you late?"Mr. Rivera asks me.

"Was it about Izzie?"Maddie asks me looking up from the file as I sigh.

"Well the thing about Zach wasn't as simple as it seemed.He tried ruffing her and she isn't ready to do anything about it.And to top it off Iz isn't even accepting it,"I lay my head back on the head rest.

"He did what?"Maddie yells as I looks at her taking in a deep breathe.Maddie isn't someone I'd share this with but I think I really need a girls help in this to understand why she isn't doing it.From Maddie's reaction I know she hasn't told her neither Cass, and that explains why she was shocked that I knew it.She never wanted me to find out and that tore me apart.Their isn't anything worse that could have but what if something did and she wouldn't tell him.I hadn't even suspected it and I think that's what bugs me more.She could just lie and I'd never know.

"Your talking about your girlfriend?"Mr. Rivera asks me shocked as I nod.Honestly at this point I see him and Mr. Johnson as friends rather than bosses. He also knows about her so I don't really mind him being here.Maddie just stares at him surprised and then looks at me as I nod telling her he knows. "How did that even happen and who is that guy?"he asks harshly making me almost what to laugh.Hell,the guy looked like if he could he'd kill him for me.

"At a boat party we both went to and he invited us,"I say looking at Maddie as Mr, Rivera stares at us both in surprise.

"You'll both know each other?" he looks at us both.

"Yeah,roommates or that's what we were supposed to be,"I chuckle as Maddie smiles.

"I would have stayed there my parent just want me safe after everything and so the penthouse,"she says as I just smile. "Though I'm so sorry about the entire Izzie thing.I should have known when he invited us something was off, especially with hat friend of his," I raise my eyebrow at her. "There was this other guy Ted and he kind of was trying to make a move on her and then he stepped in and helped her out so I thought he wasn't so bad but it was all fake," she realizes it getting annoyed that she got played.

"Wonderful,"I say annoyed. The way girls can sometimes turn a naked eye never tends to surprise me. They just never tend to see how far some guys can go to prove a point or save their ego.

"I feel horrible.Why hadn't she said anything?How could she keep it bottled up in her like that?"she ask the same question I've been asking myself for way too many times to count.

"I'd suggest we just put him in his place,"Mr. Rivera says as I remember he was in the room too.

"As much as I want that she isn't agreeing nor is there any significant proof other than we punching the crap out of him and that will be the only significant thing,"I say remember of the unconscious body.

"You beat the guy up why am I not surprised.Though did you get hurt?"he makes me chuckle.What is with people thinking I'm going to get hurt?

"I'm into kick-boxing so nope.Just one baby hit was all I got while him.He was unconscious,"I smirk.

"Nice to know you've got that too,"he smiles. "Though what's the exact details?" he asks as the rest of our three time passes of that way.Both of then offered to help me out with the entire thing of Zack but I know if I let my mom know the thing will be done just as quick but I thank them for it.

Coming back home,I enter the bedroom finding Iz on her bed watching FRIENDS on her laptop her back facing me.The fact that she's watching it means she is sad and I hurt her bad even after not wanting her to feel it. I caused it but she needed to understand the gravity of the situation.

"Have you made your decision?" she turns around to face me.

"You know what my decison is,"she says calmy like we were talking about the weather.

"How is it that everyone cares about you and wants to help you in this but all you want to do is help that trash.Even Mr. Rivera spoke about helping you.Can you try and understand?,"I say not wanted to say his cursed name ever again.All the curses I know revolving around my head towards him.

"You told your CEO?Josh are you crazy?"she yells at me as she tugs at her hair. "God I can't deal with you right now and just drop it Josh.I've had enough," she walks past me but I stop by her arm.

"Iz,"I warn not wanting to keep this conversation for another day.

"I need my space Josh.I'm done talking with you,"she glares jerking her hand from my grip as storms out of the room slamming the door as I punch the wall,letting my knuckles bleed begging for any other physical pain but not this with her. She means the world to me only if she knew why I was doing it.It was all for her; my Isabella.
