"I still can't believe you're going on vacation with Niall," Lily tells me. I facetimed her the next morning to update her on what's going on. "I know, I'm not sure how I feel about it," I tell her. "Why?" she asks me. "I don't know, we're going to spend a lot of time together, and I don't know how I feel about it," I tell her honestly, before I continue; "I don't even know where we're heading." She thinks about it for a couple of minutes. "Well, you're definitely going somewhere warm, based on what you told me he packed. And for the part about spending time with him, don't worry. From what you've told me he seems like a nice guy, and probably wants to get to know you," she says, but I'm not entirely convinced. "I know, but what if he wants us to be more than friends?" I ask her, and lay back on my bed. "Well, how do you feel about him? Honestly," she asks. "Honestly, I don't know. He's great, but I'm not sure I want another relationship right now. I've only been single for like three months, and that didn't really end well. But I mean, if I were to date anyone Niall would be the only person I think I can develop feelings for," I tell her. "Well, tell him that if he wants more," she says, before continuing; "and for the part about feelings, do you want my opinion?". I nodded at her. "I see the way you're talking about him. If you don't want to catch feelings for him I suggest you begin to distance yourself from him, because you're starting to get there. Personally I think you should keep going, he seems like a nice guy, that will treat you like you should," she says. I check the time, and see that it's about fifteen minutes before Niall is supposed to be here. "I'll think about it, but I got to go, he's going to be here soon," I tell her. She nods at me and wishes me a good trip, and we say goodbye. I didn't want to put more distance between Niall and I. I loved how our friendship was now, so casual and lowkey. I didn't stress if I was going to meet up with him. We clicked the second we met, our personalities mixing well. I wanted things to stay like this.
After about ten minutes I hear a knock on the door, and I run to get it, but trip on a pair of shoes and land on the floor with a thud. "What are you doing down on the floor?" I hear Niall ask, as he apparently let himself in. "I fell," I tell him and he comes over to help me up. "Hi," I tell him and give him a hug. I got the last couple of things and put it in my backpack, and we headed off to the airport.
"So, when are you telling me where we are going?" I asked Niall when we were on the plane. Somehow he had managed to keep both the boardingpasses, the boarding call and every other way to see where we were going out of my way. "I'll tell you before we land," he says, before he gets a look on his face that I haven't seen before, a mix between his nervous and excited look. I rolled my eyes at him, but smiled. "You're not scared of flying, are you?" he asks. I laugh, before I shake my head. "Good, good." I rest my head up on his shoulder, before spotting something I've never seen before while being with Niall. It looks like a fan. The way she's staring at Niall in awe kind of gives it away. "Nialler, I think that girl over there is a fan," I nod over at her when she finally looks away. "Why do you-" he starts, probably going to ask how I know, but he stops when he sees her pull out her phone, to try and take a picture of him. "That's going to cause some craic on the internet," he tells me. "Cause what?" I ask, as it's the first time I've heard that word. "Gossip,". "Oh, why?" I ask him. "You and me, on a plane on the way to somewhere that I'm not going to tell you just yet," he says. "What should we do about it?" I ask him. "Nothing we can do really," he tells me and puts his arm around my shoulder and pulls me into his chest. I look out the window as we take off. We had a small discussion about who should get the window seat, but I managed to get it.
"Em, wake up, we're landing soon,". Niall shakes me awake. "I don't want to," I tell him and cuddle into his chest more. "You have to, Love. I'll tell you where we are," he says and this wakes me up. I sit up and look at him. "We're landing in the Bahamas in five minutes," he says. "Really? That's so cool. I've always wanted to go there!" I tell him. He nods. "By the way, how much do I owe you for the plane ticket and hotel?" I ask. "Nothing, I kind of forced you to come so it's on me," he says. "Don't be silly, I agreed to come, so I should pay my half," I push on. "Forget about it Em, I'm taking care of it," he says. "I-". He cuts me off when the seatbelt sign comes on, by fastening my seatbelt. I let out a soft laugh. "Then I'll pay for food and everything like that, you can't change my mind," I tell him. He pulls me into his chest and places a kiss on my temple. "We'll see," He says.
An hour later we arrive at the hotel we're staying at. By now it's nightfall and I'm rather tired. Niall goes over to the reception and gets the key and everything, but instead of going for the elevator, he tells me to follow him outside again. "Not to complain but could we maybe go and take a nap" I ask him. "Of course, but we need to get to our bungalow," He says, and guides me to a golf cart. He puts our luggage into the cart, before we get in. "Bungalow?" I ask. "Yeah, I figured it might be a little too much to share a hotel room, but I wanted to be able to have a place where we could hang out," he tells me. "Oh," I say, and we sit in silence the rest of the lift. When he stops the cart we're in front of a bungalow. It's a lot more private than what it would have been at the hotel. We get into the bungalow, and put the luggage into our rooms. My room is cute, with a beachy vibe, and white sheets. The bathroom is in the room, except for the toilet that is in a small room in the corner. I walk back into the sitting room, where Niall is already seated on the coach scrolling through his phone. "Come, let's go out on the patio, I think there's a pool there," he tells me. We walk outside, and I squeal when I see that the view includes the crystal clear ocean. Out on the patio there is a pool, just like Niall said, and a few sunbeds. Out on the pool there is also a floating sunbed. "This is great Niall, really," I tell him, and give him a hug. "We're so going for a dip in the ocean during the night at some point," Niall says, and I nod. "Let's eat something and then we can go to sleep, huh?" He offers and I nod. He walks over to the kitchen, and I'm about to tell him that we don't have any food when he opens up the fridge and I see that it's fully stocked. "I asked if they could fill it for me before we got here," Niall explains when he sees the confused look on my face. I nod at him, and he finds something quick for us to eat. When we're done I yawn, and stretch a little. "Hey, let's head off to bed, shall we?" He asks. His accent is thicker now, which I had learnt over the last couple of weeks means that he's tired. "Yeah, good night, Nialler," I tell him. He plants a kiss on my forehead and tells me good night, and we head off to each of our rooms.
AN// I decided that I'll post a little here and there. I have already written a lot of chapters so I don't really need to stess with the writing part, which is great.
