We spent the rest of the noon lounging around in the sun. "Wanna go out for dinner today?" Niall asks while we're sharing the floating bed. His arm is draped around my waist, and he has been snuggling his head into my neck for sometime. "Yeah, we can do that. Is there anywhere special you want to go?" I ask him, getting out of his arms and resting on my elbows. "I'll figure something out, let's head at six?" he says, and I agree. I paddle over to shore and pick up my phone. "It's four now, I'm gonna go and take a shower and a nap," I tell him getting up. He tells me okay, and I head for my room. I take a shower, but on a pair of comfy shorts and a sports bra and cuddle up in bed. I decide to facetime Lily and she answers quickly. "Hi! How are you? Where are you?" She asks. I let out a laugh. "Hi Lils, I'm good, we're in the Bahamas actually," I tell her. "Oh, really? That's nice," She says, before she continues; "So, how is it?". "Well, very hot, but the Bungalow is super nice," I tell her, before describing everything. "How are you and Niall?" She asks after we've caught up on her life as well. "We're fine," I tell her. "What, that's it? Fine?" She pushes on. "I mean, yea. We had a rather deep conversation this morning," I tell her. "About what?" she asks. I give her a quick brief of the conversation. "He wrote a song about you? That's so sweet," she says, and I nod at her. I look at the time, and see that I should start getting ready. "Lil, I have to go, but I'll try to call you tomorrow," I tell her and we hang up.
I start by getting out a flower patterned dress that reaches my knees before I brush through my now dry hair. I find a pair of white sneakers and put them on. I check the time and see that I have some time left, but I head out to the sitting room and sit down on the couch. I scroll through my phone for a while, but look up when I hear a door opening.
Niall's POV
I walk out into the sitting room after taking a shower and putting on a white pair of shorts, a white and yellow striped shirt with short sleeves. I spot Emily laying on the couch, and she looks up at me, before giving me a smile. "You're ready early," I tell her after checking the time on my phone. "So are you," she says. When I hear her laugh my heart does a backflip. I walk over to the fridge and get out a water bottle and offer her one as well. She accepts and I walk over to her giving her a bottle when I sit down. "Did you figure out somewhere to eat?" She asks and puts her phone away. "Yeah, I found a place," I said to her. She rolls her eyes at me, before smiling. "Why do you always keep things a secret? That's no fun," she says. "Well, I gotta keep you on the toes, don't I?" I joke at her. She laughs again, before pulling a hand through her blonde hair. I check the time again, and get up. "Ready?" I ask her, and stretch my hand out for her to grab so I can help her up. I take in her looks. Her dress is falling down right over her knees, and the white makes her long legs look tanner. "You look beautiful, Love," I tell her, and she blushes before looking down. She mumbles a thank you, and we head out. We go outside and over to the golf cart we used to drive here. "Can I drive?" she asks, and I nod before handing her the keys. "Do you know how to drive it?" I ask her, while we sit down. "No, I don't," She tells me with a laugh. I tell her how to do it, and considering it's not hard at all, I would expect her to get a hang of it immediately, but she doesn't. Within the first hundred meters Emily manages to make a trash can fall over, that we off course picked up again, drive off the road once, and then almost hit a tree. "I think we should switch," Em tells me, while I'm laughing at her driving skills. "If you say so, Em. I'll give you a lesson tomorrow, okay?" I tell her, and we switch places. "Oh, while we're talking about lessons, I want you to teach me how to play the guitar," she says. I glance over at her before looking back at the road. "I mean, if you want to then sure. What can you offer in return?" I say. "Um, I can teach you how to play the piano," she offers, earning a light chuckle from me. "I already know how to play the piano, but thank you for offering," I say. "Right, right. Oh, I know! I'll teach you how to play tennis sometime," she says. "That's a great idea!" We arrive at the hotel and take a cab to get to our final destination. When we arrive at the restaurant she gets an excited look on her face. "I love this," She tells me when we enter the restaurant with a jungle theme. We get a table, and sit down to order. I end up ordering some spicy chicken and she gets a burger. We both get a beer each, and we sit and smalltalk until the food arrives. "Tell me a fun fact about yourself," I say while we're eating. She thinks about it for a while. "I don't know if there is any," she says, and takes a bite of her burger. "Come on, there must be something," I tell her. Of course it is. I wonder if she's keeping a lot of information to herself on purpose or not. "Hm, oh I know, I know how to play the flute, learned it in middle school," she says and I can't help but crack up at that. While she is thinking of the instrument, I have another thought in my mind, and it's definitely not something I want her to know. "What? Why is that so funny?" She asks. "No reason, it's just random," I tell her, trying to brush it off. "You're lying, come on, tell me," she demands. I try to avoid her gaze for a couple of seconds, knowing I will give in and tell her if I look into her green eyes. Although I try, I can't keep it up for a long time, and finally meet her eyes. "I, um, okay, penis," I tell her, and hear how weird that sentence sounds. "What are you talking about?". I put my head in my hands for a second, before looking up again. "Flute is irish slang for penis," I say and she bursts out laughing. "No wonder you thought it was funny then, but to clarify, it was not that kind of flute I played in middle school," she tells me, and I laugh. "Well, your turn," she tells me, hinting at me telling a fun fact about myself as well. "I have my doll from when I was in One Direction in my bedroom," I tell her, and she shoots me a look, before laughing again. We spend the rest of the evening like that, laughing, before we head back to the bungalow.
"I had a good time tonight," Emily tells me, when we enter the sitting room. "So did I, would have been better if you let me pay though," I tell her. She shakes her head at me, and takes out a water bottle from the fridge. "What do you want to do tomorrow?" I ask her and lean at the kitchen island. "I don't know, do you have anything in mind?" she asks me and jumps up on the counter. I think about it for a while, before I get an idea. "I have one for the evening, let's go down and have a picnic at the beach and get drunk," I tell her, and she throws her head back while laughing. "I vote yes," she says, before telling me she's sleepy, and gives me a goodnight kiss on my cheek. I watch her as she walks into her room, before I walk back to mine and fall back on the bed.
I'm confused, as I don't know what my feelings mean. I can't help but smile everytime I see her. My heart swells every time we touch, and I'm pretty sure she feels like that as well. I'm confused because I don't know what she wants. She told me we should take it slow, but doesn't mind me when I'm flirting with her. I'm confused because she's so different from every other girl I've ever dated. And I'm confused because she constantly gives me small flickers of hope.
AN// First Niall POV right here... Oh and I had to add in she's different, just for the fun of it<3
