The next morning I'm woken up by Niall who's knocking on my door. He comes in, and tells me to get dressed. I check the time on my phone and see that it's five thirty. I groan, but do as he says and put on some clothes. I walk out to the sitting room, and spot him standing anxious by the door. "Ni, what are we doing?" I ask, looking outside. It's still dark. "Do you have a sweater? I think it's cold outside," He asks. I shake my head, and tell him I can go get one, a little annoyed that he ignored my question. "Never mind, take this," he says, grabbing one of his sweaters off the couch. I mumble a thank you and he grabs my hand and drags me out the door and into the golf cart. I let out a yawn, before resting my head at his shoulder. "I want to show you something, or, I want to experience something with you," he tells me while we're driving. "Why do you want to experience things with me so early? Can't we experience around twelve?" I ask him. He laughs before shaking his head. "I would, but this kind of requires an early morning," He says. I yawn once more, before noticing we're past the hotel and on our way up a mountain. "You sure this golf cart can handle this?" I ask him, unsure of how far one of these things can go. "Yeah, I asked," he reassured me.
We get on top of the mountain and he pulls me over to the cliff. "Ah, so this is the moment you kill me, huh?" I joke, as i realize why we are here. "Yeah, I've been trying to come up with a perfect way to kill you all this time. Figured it was the easiest if I just threw you off a cliff," he joins in on my joke. We sit down, and he pulls me closer to his side, with his arm draped around my shoulder. He places a kiss on my temple and I smile.
"I guess you figured out why I really brought you here," he states, as we look out on the ocean, still sitting in the dawn. I nod at him. "Well, it's a few minutes left and then the sun will come up," he says. I pull away from him a little, put on the sweater he handed me earlier, before going back to my original position with my head on his shoulder.
We wait, and after some time a purple color starts to pop up on the sky. It quickly blends with pink, yellow and orange. We sit there admiring it for a while, and I get up from his shoulder, leaning my head on my hands instead. "This is beautiful, Niall," I tell him, and look back at him. "Yeah, it is," he says under his breath, looking me straight in the eyes. "You know, your eyes are alway more blue in the morning," I tell him and look out at the skies again. Now it's faded over to only being a strong orange color. "Is that so?" he asks, caressing my back. "Mhh, in the morning they're more of a really light blue. Then, they turn a sea blue, and in the night they're more grey I would say," I tell him. He hums at what I'm saying. We stay quiet for the rest until the sun is up. "Thank you for bringing me here," I tell him when we're walking back to the golf cart. "No worries, I thought you might like the sunrise," he says. "I mean for bringing me with you on this trip. I'm sure you had many other friends that wanted to come with," I told him. He takes my hand and smiles at me. "True. I didn't want any of them to join though, only you,". When I ask him why he pulls me into a hug. "I did promise to show you the time of your life, didn't I? I can't do that in London." I let out a small laugh, before nuzzling into his chest.
"How much do you have left of the album?" I ask Niall when we're eating lunch. "I want to have thirteen tracks, with mirrors I have about three I think. Not sure if it's gonna make its way to an album, at least not for a while," He says, shoving some eggs into his mouth. "Well, do you have any thoughts about more songs?" He thinks about it for a while. "I have an idea right now, but I don't have a piano so I can't do anything," He tells me. "Use your guitar then?" I ask. "I mean, I could, but I want it to be on the piano," he explains. "Then you switch it over when we get back home," I tell him. "I guess I could do that," he says. After we're done eating he excuses himself and heads off to his room. I don't see him until noon, when he comes out and gives me a kiss on the cheek. "I'm sorry I disappeared, but I finished up the song," he tells me, with a big grin on his face. "Oh, nice, sing it for me?" I ask him. "Nope-" he says, making a popping noise on the p. "I'll show you it when we get back home and I can play the piano version," he says when he sees my questioning face. "Oh, okay," I tell him. We start making some food before heading off to the beach.
"Sunrise and sunset on the same day, that's nice," I tell him. He nodded, before placing some food down on the blanket we brought with us. "We can go for that bath later tonight," he says, excitedly. I laugh, before telling him yes. We eat in silence while looking over at the horizon. "Why haven't we seen a single person this far? Apart from the people who work here," I ask. He shrugs. "It's of season I guess," he says, but I feel like that's not the only reason when I see a small smirk lingering on his lips.
"What's like the biggest pet peeve for you?" he asks after we're done eating. At this point both of us are a bit tipsy after our beers. I'm laying in between his legs, and we're looking out on the ocean. The waves make a relaxing sound in the background of our conversations. "Hmm, on a superficial level, maybe really loose tank tops. On a deeper level I think it is when people say do you trust me, or you trust me right, something along those lines," I tell him. "Why?". "I don't know. "It's just one of those things that sounds innocent enough, but in reality it's a way of manipulating someone. Like if I want you to join me on something I know you don't want to do, and I tell you don't you trust me, I'm saying it on purpose to make you feel bad. My ex used to do it all the time," I explain and turn my head a little so I can look at him. "Huh, I've never thought of it that way," He says. I can feel his grip around my waist tighten a little, and smile. "What about you?" I tell him. He thinks about it for a while. "Superficially, maybe like those really tacky tattoos. But deeper down I would say if people are way too obsessed with meeting my famous friends. That's like the first thing I notice about a person. If they're really interested in my friends I don't hang around them," he says. "I get that. People are obsessed with getting to know famous people, and trying to join their groups." He nods into my shoulder. "Not you though. You tried to run away the first time I met you. Then when I invited you over to hang out you would have said no if it weren't for Roman," He says with a laugh. "I did not try to run away, I had a lot of work. And how do you know I would have said no?" I try to defend myself. "Hey, it's not a bad thing. I like it," he tells me. "And I know because Roman told me," he continues. I roll my eyes, mostly at Roman. "Come on, let's go swimming," I tell Niall, getting up. He does the same, and I strip down to the bathing suit I'm wearing and he takes his shirt off, before grabbing my hand and running towards the ocean.
AN// Had to include that picture on the top. A little bit of a beachy vibe
