Niall's POV

"We're here," I tell her when the trees are starting to spread out, a small opening showing about twenty meters away. When we get there I smile, taking in the scenery. It's a small grass field, with a pond in the middle. I had never heard about it, until yesterday when a fan told me I should visit it. In the pond we can see the reflection of the moon, the water so still that it's about as clear as if we were looking right at the moon. "This is beautiful, how did you find it?" Em asks, reminding me why I brought her with me here. "A fan told me about it, and thought I would check it out, and wanted us to see it," I told her before taking my jacket off so I could lay it down on the ground for us to sit on. "What did you mean by 'I could show you at the hotel'? Show what, a picture?" she asks, sitting down beside me. "No, I have something else I want to show you, hold on," I tell her, pulling my phone out of my jean pocket and unlocking it. This week I finished up the song, the one I got from her. Once I knew I could do something with it, I finished it up in no time, getting the results I wanted on my first try. "This is the demo of the song you started on. It's finished up, just need to record it. I called it 'You And Me'," I told her and pushed play. The song starts up and I look down at her. She's leaning back on her elbows, with her eyes closed. The moonlight is making her blonde hair look lighter, and her skin a little paler. I wait for the song to finish, anxiously biting my lip the whole time. When it's done Em slowly opens her eyes and looks over at me. "Your songwriting is amazing, Niall, as well as the melody and singing. I love it," she says, making me smile. Before when I wrote songs I wrote what people wanted to hear. Now it doesn't really matter, as long as I like it I'll be happy, but Emily liking it is also important. "Thank you, sweets," I say and she leans up to give me a quick kiss. "Wanna go back to the hotel?" I continue and she nods. We get up and I grab my jacket. "It's cold," Em mumbles as she grabs my arm. I drag her into me, trying to keep her a little warmer.

When we get into the car I turn up the heat and grab a hoodie that's laying in the backseat after our drive from the airport, and hand it to her. She looks at it questioningly. "Niall, I just said it was cold, I'm good like this," she says and I frown. "I don't want you to catch a cold, sweets. Put it on, please?" I start driving and she sighs before taking her jacket off and pulling on the hoodie. When we're back at the hotel Emily gets ready for bed first. "Meet me underneath the sheets, love," she jokes, giving me a kiss on my cheek when I pass her. I roll my eyes playfully, before I get ready for bed as well. When I walk out all I can see is a ball under the sheets. I laugh, and get over there to lay down. "Coming up again or?" I ask her, trying to pull the sheets down from over her head. "Nope." I roll my eyes again, but pull the sheets up over my head so I can see her. We lay there, looking at each other for a while, before I pulled her closer, nuzzling my head into the crook of her neck. "I love you," I say, placing a soft kiss on her neck. "I love you as well," she says, one of her hands running through my hair and the other caressing my shoulders. Her hand disappears from my hair and I frown, before I realize she's pulling the sheets back down so it's easier for us to breath. I smile, before closing my eyes, ready to sleep.

"Niall, baby, you need to get up." I feel a hand stroking my cheek and I smile. "Yeah, sure," I tell Em, opening my eyes. She's standing over me, her hair falling down, some of it tickling me. I take her hand and pull her down to me, so she falls on top of me. "Perfect," I mumble, cuddling her into me. "Nialler, we should head down to breakfast and then over to the airport," she says into my chest. "Nah, we will just stay here, don't you think?" I tell her and close my eyes again. She laughs, making me want to stay here even longer. "No, come on. I'm not falling for this," she says, getting out of my grip. I groan, but sit up a little, looking at Em on the end of the bed. She's already ready and dressed. "Don't you look cute," I say, while getting up from the bed. "Tried my best," she jokes and comes up to me putting her arms around my waist from behind. "Did you take my black sweater?" I ask her, trying to turn to her but she doesn't let me. "No," she mumbles, and I take a hold of her arms, pulling her in front of me in one swift motion. "Well, maybe, you can get it back" she tells me when I look at her sweater, and she starts to pull at the arm. "No, it's okay, I'll use another one," I say, planting a quick kiss on her temple, before searching for another hoodie. I found the one I lended her yesterday and pulled it on.

"I'll help you, just take your backpack and I'll take your suitcase," I tell Emily when we're in front of her building back home in London. We walked up to her flat, and I put the suitcase in her bedroom. "Thanks for a lovely trip, Niall, I really needed this," she says when I walk back out of the bedroom. I walk over to her and wrap my arms around her and pull her into a hug. "No worries, I had a great time with you," I tell her, breathing in the smell of her hair. If I had it my way we would already be living together, so that we would see each other everyday. It kills me when it goes weeks without seeing her, and I know that this week is super busy for me, and that I probably won't see her until the weekend. "What's your plans for the week," Em asks as if she was reading my mind. "I'm rather busy the whole week, so we probably won't see each other until friday," I say, trying not to sound too upset. She frowns but nods. "Roman wants to go out on friday, wanna join?" I think about it, as much as I want to stay at home, just the two of us, drunk Emily could be pretty fun. "Yeh, sure. I need to get going, but I'll see you, ok?" I say, before kissing her. "Yeah, love you," she says when I pull away and I smile. "Love you too, loads."

When I get back to my place I unpack everything and lay down on the couch. Conor is supposed to arrive soon so that we could watch a match together. "Hey, man. Long time no see, what's up?" I hear him say, as he's entering the sitting room, letting himself in as always. "Hey. Yeh, far too long, just came back from Barcelona, actually," I tell him, getting up to greet him. "Yea, right. Barcelona with the girlfriend. It looked cozy, saw the pictures," he says, empathizing the word 'the'. "What pictures?" I ask, sitting down beside him. "You didn't see them? Not too bad actually, you two looked cute, made me wanna puke," he jokes, getting out his phone. He shows me a couple of pictures of us on the beach and the match. "How did you manage to get her? She's hot," Conor says, and I smack the back of his head. "Don't ask me. She's really sweet and kind, probably going to leave at some point," I tell him, turning on the television, not wanting to speak about it too much. "Leave you? Why would she leave you," he asks, taking the remote from me and turning the sound off. "I don't know? Doesn't every girl leave?" I try to joke, but I can hear the concerned undertone. "No, this one won't." I look at him and roll my eyes. "How would you know, you haven't even met Em," I say and try to get a hold of the remote. "She loves you, dude. And yes, you're right, I haven't met her, you need to fix that," he tells me, giving me the remote. I shrug and turn up the sound, not wanting to continue this conversation.
