A NEW FEELING

Breathing was the only sound heard in the sunlit room as the two were the closest they've ever been. Her head was resting on his chest, moving from his inhales while his arms wrapped around her frame.

The two were in sync; breathing to the same tune, a melody playing by the two soulmates. As they were both in dreamland; absorbing the magic of each other's touch.

From stiffness that formed in his neck made him grumble lazily opening his eyes. As his eyes focused on his surroundings his throat began to dry. The girl laid peacefully on his chest; soft pink lips slightly open.

The tingling that formed in his heart wouldn't go away even as he tried to focus his attention anywhere else. His feelings were spreading uncontrollably, like black ink that eats at a canvas.

It was almost intimidating how much his heart pounded at the sight of her, but he kept on telling himself that this was all normal; it was the bond taking over.

He also couldn't deny the security he felt, the chaos inside him was at bay, resting when he was with her. It was pleasant, nothing more or less.

The opening and closing of her mouth alerted him, taking him away from his moments of reflections. She stirred slightly, moving her weight from the center of his chest to his side. A deep inhale from her nose let her breath in the vanilla scent that was always present on him.

It awoke her from her slumber that felt like it restored the rivers inside her, rejuvenating her mind and body. It's crazy how much of an effect the bond could have. Letting her eyes flicker open the black hoodie material was staring back at her; reminding her that this wasn't her bed- instead, it was another human.

Looking up her eyes connected to his, the swirls of chocolate were staring down at her. But behind those soft eyes, she could see something that started to make her heart race. Adoration.

With a couple of heavy blinks, she rubbed her eyes thinking that the image of the well-rested Jungwoo would disappear after. But nothing changed, the boy was still lazily staring down at her with this tousled hair covering his forehead.

"Uh...Hi," She said as sleepiness traced her voice, waving at him with her free hand. She was already figuring out how to get out of his grasp but a thought from behind her was telling her; stay in his arms, it's nice here.

"Hi."

His response was simple, vague, but it somehow held so much depth for her. He was comfortable, from the way his eyes stayed on her to the arms that were wrapped around her, snuggling her with just his limbs. His slayed-back response cleared many thoughts that have been on her mind since the first day. She felt okay and knew he was too, okay with each other.

"Are we just going to stay like this," she mused, the most confident phrase she has said to him yet. His eyebrows quirked up, not expecting the bluntness that she just projected.

Deciding to play along he breathed out, "I think we can," while taking one of his large but -somehow soft- hand, ruffling the top of her hair.

There it was again; the fast-paced beating that echoed in her body, and at that moment she wondered if his heart was beating like her's. "Can we eat though, I'm starving?" She mentioned allowing herself to place her hands on his chest to push herself up.

A playful groan left his mouth, slowing unwrapping his arms mumbling a 'yes' as the two made their way to his kitchen that was luckily only a few feet away.

"Okay...let's see what you got here," she pondered while pointing her finger to the grey cabinets that were on the wall. Walking closer to them with his feet trailing closely behind, she reached up opening one of the cabinet doors.

Skimming carefully, noticing everything he had she contemplating before her eyes spotted a specific red box that she also had in her house. "Pancakes!" She squealed out turning around quickly to face him. Looking up to his face a bright smile accompanied her somewhat messy state making her look childlike in anyone's eyes.

"Can we make pancakes," she pleaded, clasping her hands together rocking them in front of her while her mocha-brown eyes became doe-like. The sight made his heart race, not ever seeing the playful-carefree Akina before.

"If that's what you want, of course, we can," he answered shaking his head at her childlike mannerism while his arm extends above her reaching the box of batter that resided in the cabinet.

A couple of strings of excitement came out of Akina, as the boy looked through his cabinets grabbing what they would need. She did the same, except in the refrigerator; investigating it in the process.

Next to each other, arms brushing as their extensive height difference became apparent the two began reading the directions as the morning glow from the sun shined inside the apartment creating a scene of bliss.

In those moments everything felt right, not perfect, but ideal. Everything was falling into place for the two soulmates.
