PLANE RIDES
Bold is in english
Now in the early morning, the two sat inside the terminal, waiting for their plane number to be called. Jungwoo was at the moment sending various texts, updating his friends that he was abruptly leaving the country, and of course, he got texts of shock and curiosity back.
Akina's leg was bobbling as her head was resting on his shoulder. Because even if her leg found the energy to be anxious nothing else in her body could. With her backpack at her feet and wearing the hood of her hoodie on her head, she looked forwarding watching every once a while a pair of feet walking by.
As the two were waiting, radiating heat off their bodies, they stayed quiet. One didn't know what to say while the other was drowning in thoughts, unable to compile words that were jumbled in her head.
After hearing the intercom call their flight, Jungwoo stood up first; slinging on her backpack while grabbing his suitcase -that also had her stuff in it-, he reached his hand out towards her. Sluggishly, barely managing to defeat gravity that was holding her down, she latched her hand with his, following his stride.
Once in the plane, the two sat down, just as the sun was beginning to rise. "It's going to be a fourteen-hour flight, so try to rest," Jungwoo voiced out softly as the flight was taking off. Nodding but looking at her seat, her eyelids drooped, head falling once again on his shoulder, their fingers still laced together.

If time wasn't spent sleeping, the two didn't talk much until the plane landed. Now they walked out into the airport seeing the pitch-black sky greet them once again. It was busier than one would expect, the main area of the airport was buzzing with people.
As the two continued to walk, Jungwoo taking in his surroundings, they made it outside taking one of the taxis. "So this is where you grew up?" He asked head gazing at everything before sliding into the seat. "Yeah this is it, 112 Manchester Drive please," she answered while quickly switching the language she spoke in.
He listens to the simple words she spoke, amazed by her voice, it was swift and her words were natural unlike his whenever he spoke in English. Paying attention to the neon green clock on the radio in the car he breathed out realizing this whole day was gone from traveling.
Aside from him, Akina was anxious while drowning in sorrow. Dreading to go back to the home she grew up in; the home that now was vacant. It sent continuous chills through her body from the almost foreign feeling of being back 'home.'
Because was it even home anymore?
She didn't know, now the city of Portland didn't hold her down as no one close lived there anymore. The strange concept was hitting her but it wouldn't seep in, no matter how current it was.
