I need you beside me.
INSECURITIES BUBBLING
When a ringing sound blared in the bedroom they were sleeping in, groans escaped her lips, half-awake from the intrusion of noise.
Being that the noise wasn't on her side she rolled over ignoring the presence of the noise. Jungwoo though, had to reach over to his impatient phone, and answered it.
After a few words that she couldn't focus to understand, he rose, the phone still attached to his ear. Slipping out from under the warmth of the covers he stumbled around.
He quickly pulled out his typical clothing attire sitting them on the bed. Lazily, Akina reached her arm over, feeling that Jungwoo was indeed actually out of the bed. Rubbing her eyes she tried to push off her urge to sleep, seeing the digital clock on his nightstand.
3:47 AM
She groaned again, wondering why Jungwoo was now fiddling with something on his desk beside the bed. She watched his figure silently as he retracted the phone from his ear, mumbling something to himself that she didn't hear fully.
Soon he finished whatever he was doing at the desk and went back to the bed, grabbing the clothes he laid out, scurrying to the bathroom attached to the room.
Feeling more awake even as the bed called her name to fall back asleep, she sat up, leaning against the headboard, feeling her retainer attached to her teeth with her tongue.
After a moment Jungwoo came out of the bathroom, hair parted cleanly while he buttoned up the remaining button on his shirt, finally noticing Akina, who he awoke from his obnoxious ringtone.
"Sorry for waking you," He said softly, sitting at the end of the bed on her side, sliding on his socks.
Although it was nighttime, the window that was on the right side had enough of the moonlight shining in as it kept the room from being pitch-black.
The moon lit his backside as he now fiddled with the strings of his shoes. "It's okay, what's happening though?" She questioned, now wide-awake from all his movement.
"An emergency happened at the station, they called me," He stopped tying his shoes, turning his head to face her, "Will you be able to get to work?" She nodded although a part of her shriveled that he wouldn't be taking her as she thought.
After finishing getting dressed he trailed out of the room with Akina who was following his steps. He -with her practically tailing him- reached into a cabinet, grabbing a bowl and then turning to grab everything he needed to get cereal.
And although Akina's close footsteps proved to be in his way, he never said anything as he sat at one of the bar stools. That was until he alluded, "You should probably try to get some sleep before your shift starts."
