Adrian had gotten used to many things when becoming associated with Rose Hathaway. Strigoi coming to life, breaking arch-enemies out of prison, and reaching Lissa telepathically across the world seemed like all in a day's work compared to the people walking beside him. Demon hunters... Adrian didn't even know how to process it. It was certainly the most interesting thing to happen in Court since Tasha's arrest... and the breakup.

She was everywhere. It was like there was not enough alcohol to forget her touch. He had constant battles daily whether to remind himself of what she had done to him by seeing her or to drown himself in sorrow. Today had been a reminder, but now it was turning into something more interesting.

"A warlock? Good god I'm in Harry Potter..." He was saying to Magnus. The guy had enough glitter to supply a gay bar. And from the way he looked at one of the shadowhunters gay bars were probably a normal hangout for him. Adrian didn't judge though he was very tempted to make a few remarks.

"Haven't heard that one before. I wonder how you'd make it without those good looks and charm..." Magnus sneered.

"What are you going to do? Turn me into a frog?" Adrian laughed.  Magnus gave him an exasperated look. "I can go all day, you know?"

Alec sighed beside them,"Oh great another smart ass."

Soon the bar came into view. Adrian had led them the back way to minimize the Moroi's incessant gossip. They were talking enough about Rose and him, his new companions would give them a hay day.

"I thought you were kidding about the bar," Isabelle scoffed.

"I'm always serious when drinks are involved," Adrian replied.

"Where did Jace, Clary, and Simon go?" Alec asked.

Adrian looked around, he had thought they were trailing behind Isabelle, but Alec was right they were alone. Adrian stopped in his tracks.  So much for keeping an eye on them.

"I recall them saying something about checking something out..." Magnus said.

Adrian ran his hand through his hair, "I was supposed to take care of you guys! Little dhampir is going to kill me!"

The shadowhunters looked taken aback and stopped as well.

"We didn't think you cared that much," Alec said.

"Don't you care?"

"Of course, but they can take care of themselves..."

"We have to find them! If the Moroi see them Lissa will be furious! Didn't Belikov and Rose tell you guys that?" When he had walked up to Rose before he could say a word she went on and on about keeping quiet about the people she was with. At the the time he didn't even care, but luckily her words had stuck with him like they always did.

"Fine we'll go find them, but I think you're overreacting."
