Chapter 17 - Tacos? Tacos.

-Torii's POV-

I was currently getting dressed in my room, about to go pick up Lexy and Niki. Lexy got discharged about an hour and a half ago. Everyone else is meeting us at the taco place at 5:00. Now it's almost 4:30. I sat on my bed and slipped on my all black vans. I look at myself in the mirror. [A/N: Outfit on the left] I put my hair up in a pony tail. Simple and yet not too bummy. Satisfied, I left to go get my cosins. When they walked out Lexy was wearing the outfit I got her. [A/N: outfit on the right]

" your pants were too long?"
I asked gesturing towards her ankles where her pants were cuffed.

"Yeah" she laughed.

"Sorry. Not my fault though, you're short" I snickered.

She shot me a glare and we were off to meet the others. We arrived and found a table towards the back of the place. A few minutes of talking and everyone else started showing up. Luis and Sara being the first and Wesley and Keaton being the last. When Wes walked in we locked eyes for a second before I turned away and looked down. Someone nudged my arm and I looked up to see Luis looking at me.

He leaned in and whispered, "You okay?"

"Yeah" I smiled.

"You better be" I laughed and looked up at his face. He had a genuine smile on his face. When I looked at him it reminded me of when I used to have a crush on him. I smiled and blushed a bit at the memory. He was the sweetest and had a really messed up girlfriend. He still hasn't broken up with her. 'I have no proof' that's what he says when I ask him why he's still with her even though he's sure she's cheating on him. He's one of my best friends. It hurts to see him hurt.

"DREW" I looked up and Drew was walking towards us. I smiled and stood up.

"Hey Lexy. Sorry I had to stay back to sort out all the things with the tour and what not but I'm glad you're alright now" he smiled as he bent down to give her a hug.

"Thanks and it's all good" she laughed.
I walked up to him next.

"Hey Drew" I smiled giving him a hug.

"Hey Torii. how are you?" He asked looking down at me. His hands resting on my arms.

"I'm good." I half smiled.

"I know what happened with you and Wes. If you need to talk, I'm here." He said a little quieter.
I just smiled and hugged him again. His muscular arms wrapped around my shoulders.
Drew and I haven't been close but I think we will be. He has a lot of knowledge. I feel like I could learn a lot from him.

"Well come join us" I grabbed his hand and led him to where we had a few tables set up together.

The night was going pretty well and there wasn't too much awkwardness between Wes and I. Honestly I was just glad that Lexy was happy and I didn't have to see her laying unconscious in a hospital. After we ate, we just sat around talking about anything and everything. It was really nice having all of us together.
I looked over at Lexy who was sitting on Keaton's lap. He whispered something in her ear and she smiled big. They both laughed and he poked her cheek. She slapped his hand away and laughed again. His reaction was too cute. He said 'ow' like a baby but then he placed his hand on the back of her neck with his thumb resting on her jaw and pulled her in for a kiss.
I let out a light laugh before turning to look at everyone else. Every single one of them had a smile on their face.
I started up a conversation with Luis since he was sitting the closest to me.

"Hey, let's get out of here. yeah?"

"Where would we go?" I laughed

"It's a surprise. You'll love it though."

I pretended to think for a minute before agreeing.
I stood up and grabbed my jacket.

"Your car?" I asked. He nodded grabbing his stuff too.
I walked over to Niki and handed her my car keys.

"Here, take the car back to your house. I'll pick it up later"

"Ok." I walked to where Luis was waiting for me.

"WHERE ARE YOU GUYS GOING" Karla yelled. I just laughed and shrugged waving bye to everyone.
Luis put his hand on the small of my back and led me outside.
In the car we talked a bit but it was mostly a comfortable silence with the radio playing and me occasionally singing along quietly. Once I realized we were parking I started looking around.

"Are we at the park?" I laughed.

"Yup" he said then got out of the car. I followed his action and got out.

"Come on. "
I followed him through the park until we came to a stop. It was a kind of secluded part of the park where there was a large pond with little turtles swimming around. The moonlight shone on the surface of the water making it look so beautiful. There was a bench near the water and he pulled me to sit on it beside him. I admired the view along with the peace and sound of the water flowing. It was very calming.

"Like it?" He asked looking over at me.

"I Love it" I smiled.

"I knew you would. You're a simple girl and you enjoy the little things in life. "

"Thanks for bringing me here Luis" I said moving closer to him.

"Of course. I realized you haven't been in the best shape lately with everything going on so I though this place would make you happy"

Instead of responding I just leaned my head on his shoulder and let out a sigh of contentment.
