#9 Counting stars

Laura POV:

I woke up to the sound of my stupid alarm clock. Can't life get more annoying. I quickly threw my alarm clock to the wall because it won't damn shut up! When it finally stopped, I tooka  sigh of relief. I had the house to myself for a few hours. My dad was on a trip to a job. I quickly slipped out of the bed. I showered, then i put on some short blue jeans as usual, a baggy crop-top that was black, and a messy bun as usual, black converse, dark make up, and pink blush. 

        "All set!" I said in the mirror, and went down stairs. If your wondering where i'm going, im off to see Ross again. After that depressing scene yesterday, i feel like cheering him up. Is there a cure for depression? I'm not even sure myself. But whatever..

        I walked outside from the backdoor, and walked towards the field. He was sitting there again. I finally reached him.

        "Hey." I greet as usual, since i'm the one who always starts the conversations. I dont blame him though.

        "Hi." He said back.

        "So uh..." I said awkwardly. I noticed he's trying to cover his face. So i poke him to scrare him. As soon as he shoots up, i see the cut on his face.

        "Ross! What happened?!" I shouted. I was worried because thats the like 5th time this week. Or... Does this happen all the time? Even when i never met him?

        "My dad.." He says.

        "Oh wow, he hits pretty weak for a man." I laughed. However he didn't find this so funny. But i realized what i just said and covered my mouth.

        "Sorry.." I apologized. he just looks at me, and just stares at the trees and everything.

        "Why did he hit you. I'm starting to get worried..." I said with my worried face.

        "It's nothing new Laura. Just the same routine everyday. Nothing hurts more than i good beating..." He says a little bit loud than his usual voice. I'm surprised too. thats the first time i actually hear him say my name.

        "So its nothing new?" I clarify. He just shakes his head. Oh wow... Where have i been all my life?

        "How about we meet again tonight. 9:00pm sound good?" I ask.

        "Sure.. I dont have anywhere else to be.." He says quietly. I rised up from the grass,and walked to my house.

I was sitting on the couch. There was nothing to do around here so.... And turns our my dad called, he wont be here for 3 weeks! That maeans more alone time! Thats the way liek is supposed to be! No love.. I realized what time it is.

        "8:59pm!" i shout and rush outside. I found him laying down on teh grass looking at the dark sky and lit up stars. I ran up to him and layed next to him.

        "Hey!" I greet. 

        "Hi.." He replys.

        "I guess you like the stars huh?" i tell him. We both turned our heads looking at eachother.

        He shrugs."I just like counting stars..." He says while lookign back up.

        "Don't you think its difficult? Its impossible! Theres millions of them!" I say. And i'm so right.

        He just shrugs again. "I got time. Plus. Its only Counting stars..." He says in his soft voice.

        I look at him while he studys the stars. Than he stars to count. I smile at him for a moment, then i start counting with him.
