2. Never Tear Us Apart

-frozen in time-

The group was up early in the morning, heading to the hospital that was keeping Beth and Carol against their will. They were setting up in a building a couple blocks from where Noah pointed out the hospital where they were keeping Beth and Carol.

Rick began to lay out the plan, but from the faces of some, they believed it was wrong or would go bad.

"Can't' we instead take two of their men to trade? That way, no one has to get hurt," Tyreese asked; he hated bloodshed. He was a good man at heart, and that's what kept him going in the world of the undead.

Rick looked around the room; he could tell that some people agreed.

"It will end in a blood bath either way", Theo snapped, her eyes not leaving the ground.

"It will work," Daryl defended Tyreese, looking mainly at Theo, who hadn't been herself since they left the church.

"Alright." Rick nodded, also looking at Theo. She had barely spoken a word, but when she did, it came out sinister, like she didn't care about the lives of others anymore.

In one way, that was true. Theo only had one goal: to keep her family alive, even if that meant sacrificing herself.

The plan was set: Noah would bring in two of their men, and the others would ambush them.

"Theo..." Sasha looked over at her.

Theo nodded, indicating to continue.

"Are you okay?" She asked, looking at her generally concerned

"I'll be alright if people stop asking me that goddamn question," She snapped.

"Okay, then I'll rephrase. Why aren't you okay?" She asked

Theo turned a little confused towards Sasha.

She didn't know how to answer, but luckily, it was time for them to move out as the plan was in motion.

"Where are the walkers you shot at?" One of the officers asked.

Before Noah answered, Rick whistled, making them look at them.

"Drop your weapons and kneel", Rick ordered, walking out with his gun high and pointing at them.

Theo walked over and picked up their weapons as Sasha and Daryl tied them up.

"What do you want, man?" One asked, looking up angrily at the group.

"Come with us," Rick instructed as he helped them up.

But before they could come, another car came screaming up the road.

At that moment, Theo had no time to react; she froze.

Daryl luckily saw this and had enough time to react, tackling her to the group with him, them both landing with a grunt.

"You alright?" He asked, checking over her, making sure his impact didn't hurt her.

"Yeah, thank you." She tapped his shoulder as he helped her get off the ground.

"Sasha, the tyres", Theo yelled as they were getting away.

She hit the tyres, and they heard a crash after a couple of seconds.

"This way!" Rick pointed, the group following closely behind.

They soon caught up to them, having them captured again.

Theo turned to speak to her other half, only to notice Daryl was missing.

"D?" She called out, but there was no answer. She ran back to where she came from, seeing Daryl fighting off a man, who had the advantage as he was on top of Daryl and was trying to kill him.
