Meanwhile Daryl and Aaron had been searching for new people to bring to the community, they were following a lead of where they believed people where staying, only to get themselves trapped in a car surrounded by walkers, with no way out.
"Well, just as well have one last cigarette before you got yourself out of here" Daryl began as he lit the last one in his pocket.
"What do you mean?" Aaron asked, concentrating on Daryl rather than everything else going on around him.
"I'm going to lead them away, your going to go back" Daryl explained, blowing the smoke out from his lungs.
"What about Theo? Your people?" Aaron asked in shock, there wasn't a chance he was going to let Daryl do this.
"You give Theo this" Daryl reached into his pocket and pulled out the ring that had been there a lot longer that he wished
"What? No. Daryl you can't, for what i've seen that girl needs you" Aaron explained, looking at him worried.
"She will be okay, she has her family" Daryl sighed, trying not to think about it.
"Daryl...You're her person, she needs you" Aaron told him.
Daryl tried to hold back his tears.
"She can do this without me" Daryl nodded trying to convince himself.
"Could you do it without her?" Aaron questioned as he looked at him, shaking his head before letting the tears fall.
He was overwhelmed, and scared.
Aaron passed the ring back, Daryl placing it in his pocket again, when he was back there was no waiting around, he had to grow a pair and do it.
"I can't let you go," Daryl told him, removing the tears that had fallen
"Please, we are both going to make it out, we just have to think" Aaron stopped to think.
They both stopped still for a moment until a bang of a walker hitting the floor snapped them out of it.
Someone was out there killing them, drawing them away from the car, allowing Aaron and Daryl get out, helping the stranger.
They managed to get out together.
"Thank you, I'm Aaron, this is Daryl" Aaron explained, keeping there distance.
"Morgan" He smiled, looking between the two of them
"We have some great news, we have a community, not to far from here, you are more than welcome to come with us, we have food, water, electricity" Aaron smiled
"I thank you for your offer, but I am on my way somewhere, and I am lost. If you could help me i would really appreciate that" Morgan smiled handing Daryl a map.
Daryl opened it, seeing it had Rick Grimes on it.
"You know Rick Grimes?" Daryl asked, Morgan responding with a nod, and a confused look.
"He's in our community" Daryl explained, looking at Morgan.
"We can take you there," Aaron added.
"What happened to Washington?" Morgan asked, folding his map back up.
"It was all a lie" Daryl put it sharply, even knowing he wouldn't have understood.
"Okay" Morgan agreed "If you Rick Grimes is at your community, i think i will join you" Morgan smiled
"Let's get home" Aaron smiled, looking at Daryl.
They made their way to the vehicles, heading back to Alexandria.
Their journey home took until nightfall.
When they reached the gate, Spencer had let them in.
"They are at Deanna's" Spencer began, looking between the two of them, the black eye on his face bring a smile to Daryls.
"Thank you" Aaron nodded as they led Morgan to Deanna's
"Daryl!" Spencer yelled
"Not now" Daryl responded as he continued to walk
They headed around the corner when a gunshot went off from next to Deanna's house. They walked around the corner to see Rick covered in blood, shooting a body on the floor.
"Rick?" Morgan asked as Rick looked up to see the man who he thought he would have never seen again.
"Daryl!" Carol spoke up running over
"Where's Theo?" He asked as everyone began to walk away and clean up the disaster of the night.
"There was an accident," Carol slowly explained, tears in her eyes.
"What do ya mean, accident?" Daryl began to panic.
"Daryl?" Maggie walked over.
"Where is she?" Daryl began to pace.
"Infirmary" Maggie began to lead Daryl to where Theo was, there still being no change.
They slowly walked in, Tara now being awake gave everyone a sad smile as they walked in.
Daryl looked at his brother who laid asleep in the chair besides her.
Daryl rushed around the corner, placed his crossbow down and walked over to her.
Merle opened his eyes when he heard the footsteps, standing and greeting his brother in a hug.
"What happened?" He tried not to cry in front of Maggie and Carol, she was still pale, her colour not coming back, her breathing was slow, her eyes still shut.
"Debbies mother, she came into the community, she shot Theo when she kept Debbie hidden from her" Merle explained as he looked over to Theo sadly. "I'm sorry I couldn't stop her" Merle looked at his brother shamefully.
"None of us could have stopped her" Maggie reassured Merle as Daryl hugged him tightly.
"Has she woken up yet?" Daryl asked sitting next to her, taking her hands in his
"No, and Rick just shot this places surgeon" Carol admitted, looking around angrily.
"What?" Maggie responded shocked, she left before everything went down, going to look for Sasha and Gabriel.
"Daryl, she will wake up, she will be okay" Carol tried to comfort him.
Daryl however wasn't listening, he couldn't take his eyes off her, he didn't let go of her hand.
"We will leave you be" Carol nodded as they left closing the door behind her.
He kissed her hand before letting out a small sob.
"I'm right 'ere baby" He whispered to her. "Ain't nothing gonna tear us apart, not right now, come on"
