Chapter Thirty-One

"Are you ready?"

"Yup. Just give me a second to double-check my bag," said Yoongi while going through his things one more time.

A week has passed since we moved in at Jin's bar. Today was the day we finally get to have some time for ourselves. We are going to Japan. Our suitcases were packed and waiting for us near the back exit of the bar. We preferred using it instead of the real entrance that was used by customers.

I kept staring at Yoongi with a wide smile on my face. I was genuinely happy that he started to relax more after his surgery. He should still be careful and under the doctor's supervision most of the time to prevent his condition worsening. However, I still insisted on taking this vacation although I had to go through the hell of an argument with Dr. Wang to get his permission. Yoongi needed this to ease his mind. I needed it as well. And that's how we ended up here now, doing our last check-ups before we leave the bar to go to the airport.

I am happy but also worried which is normal. I tried not to show it much so Yoongi wouldn't feel uncomfortable or stressed. Lately, I became better at controlling my emotions. Unlike before where I would start crying for every little thing that didn't go my way. But it didn't mean that I wasn't afraid of something happening to him. Right now, instead of having bad thoughts and panicking, I changed my methods and organized everything. When I spoke with Dr. Wang, I had him contact Tokyo's Central Hospital and inform them of Yoongi's conditions. In case anything were to happen, they would be prepared for when he arrives. Some may think that it's a bit too much but I didn't want to risk losing him.

"Do you really have to go now?" Hoseoks voice brought me back to reality. He was walking in the room, carrying a small bag in his right hand.

"Gosh, Hobi. We will be absent only for a few days. Stop overreacting. We will be back." Yoongi chuckled at his whining friend.

"I know you, idiot. But still, I will miss you a lot."

I laughed a little as Hoseok hugged Yoongi although the older was protesting making discussed face at him. I took Yoongi's bag and went downstairs to see others waiting for us.

"Have a safe trip you two," Namjoon wished us with a small smile as he pulled me in a light hug.

"Thank you, Hyung."

He broke the hug then turned around to look at the figure walking towards us from the kitchen that was connected to the bar. It was SeokJin Hyung. He was wearing a pink apron, his hair tied in a messy man bun, sweat covering his forehead. "What was this Hyung up to?" I asked myself while staring at him walking towards me.

"Jiminie, please take this. I prepared a few meals for you two to ear if the food in Tokyo doesn't suit your taste." He lifted his hands up, showing me two big bags. If this is what he meant by "a few meals" then I really wonder what is it like when he cooks lots of them.

"Thanks, Jin," said Yoongi who was now coming down the stairs with sulking Hoseok walking behind him.

"Have fun you two. And don't worry about Holly. I will take care of her. It will be nice for her with Yeontan around." Tae reassured us with his boxy smile.

"You better start moving if you don't want to be late for your flight." Jungkook hurried us out of the door. Yoongi and I chuckled at him. We said our goodbyes to the rest of the group one last time before hopping in the taxi.

At this early hour, the airport is as serene as it ever is.  The floors are clean and white, reflecting the early rays and the manmade light the same. People were lined up at the check-in desk with suitcases and baggage. In the background soft classical music played. In the arrivals lounge, there was a curious mixture of bored and excited people.

Not wanting us to get separated in the sea of different faces, I grabbed Yoongi's hand, our fingers intertwining. He smiled at my sudden gesture which melted my heart for who knows how many times that morning. We walked through the masses, fighting our way to the check-up desk.

After having our passports and tickets check, we made our way towards the gate number six. As soon as we entered the airplane, I searched for the seats with the numbers that were marked on our tickets. Seeing they were near the window, I cooed with excitement.

"The seat next to the window is mine!" I exclaimed while rushing towards it and plopping down. Yoongi laughed at my childness while putting his bag away and taking the seat next to me. We put our seatbelts on once the stewardess announced that we will be taking off any moment.  The engines roared and soon after we were moving, slowly going up in the sky.

We're running into a little turbulence as the airplane was going upwards, trying to reach a certain hight before starting to move only forward. Feeling a little dizzy because of it, I grabbed Yoongi's arm. Just like I used to do it every time we were watching a horror movie. Having my eyes closed the whole time, I wasn't able to see his reacting. But knowing Yoongi, he must have been smiling at my weak self.

Once everything calmed down, I opened my eyes and made myself comfortable in the seat. I looked out of the window, the clouds moved constantly, flowing as sheets hundreds of feet apart. As the wing sliced through the clouds, I tried to see the remaining fragments. Clouds pooled around the great mountains, slightly changing from pearl white to a calm yellow, warmly glowing in the morning sun.

"This is really happening?" Yoongi's deep voice sounded from beside me.

I looked over at him, starstruck as he looked like a real angel with the rays of sun falling over his figure. "Yup. I told you I will make all your wishes come true."

He smiled lovingly while taking my hand into his. I melted at the actions. "Gosh, I cannot describe how much I love this man." I thought while staring at him.

"We should have taken Holly with us."

"This is our vacations Yoongi. No one should interrupt us with it. Not even Holly. I want to have some time alone with you."

He smiled even more at my words before lifting my hand and placing a soft kiss on the back of it. I felt my face heat up at his sweetness. No matter how long has passed, his small gestures and his affection always make me bashful.

"You're still blushing Jiminie? I thought you were shy around me anymore." he chuckled at my reason which only made me redder.

"It is all your fault Yoongi." I turned my head back towards the window, hoping that my face will cool down. "Hyung..." Yoongi only hummed in response. "How will your mom reach once she founds out you left the country?"

"Honestly, I don't know and I don't care. All I want right now is to spend time with you. Let's forget about all that worries us. Throw aside all our problems and just enjoy."
