Everything was a muted colour, but not pretty pastels, simply washed out tones of grey. From the tired floor to the dented walls it was depression served cold. From the loud cheers and music, everything turned to deadly silence.
If it weren't for small chattering in the distance, screeching of the wheels against the tiles, and echoing sound of heavily beating heart, Jimin would've thought he have gone deaf.
All of the senses left the boys body the moment his husband's body his the floor. It all happened too fast for Jimin to comprehend, but one thing he was more than thankful for. The bullet did not hit him.
Jungkook's fast movements had Mrs. Min lying on the floor, gun thrown far away from her hold.
Thinking how close he was from losing his only support and love, Jimin could feel another vawe of tears coming. He stared at the golden finger on his hand, taking it off and putting back on in frustration as he waited for someone to come out of emergency room.
"Jimin, it will be alright. Don't worry." Taehyung sat next to his best friend, his large hand caressing Jimin's back reassuringly.
"It won't be alright, Tae. He had another attack. When I finally thought that he was healing and getting better, that we had a huge chance of living a long life, it all came back crashing down."
Jimin sobbed out, both of his hands reaching up to pull on his hair. The boy felt helpless again, having to sit there and wait for God knows what.
"All I ever wished for is to have a normal life... To love, and be loved, to raise our children, to stay by his side until we both become old and remisence about old days..."
Everyone present in that long, dull hallway listened to the hurtful confession of the newly wed boy.
Seokjin was a crying mess ever since wedding started, and the incident had the man passing out in the middle of the happenings. He was resting somewhere in this hospital, Namjoon being by his side in case the older male woke ip and started panicking.
Hoseok walked over to the two who were sitting down and englufted Jimin into a tight hug. "Shh... He will be fine. I've know Suga for a long time and believe me, that brat is unbreakable. Also, I am sure he would never leave you alone. He loves you too much."
Soon one more pair of arms joined, followed by another one until they were sharing a group hug. It helped Jimim calm down, but not to erase the pain and guilt he was feeling.
About half an hour later, a doctor came from emergency room, searching for Jimin within the crowd of patients.
"Mr. Min?" it took Jimin a whole minute to process that the doctor was referring to him. He was definitely not used to being callee anything else than Park Jimin.
The raven haired male jumped off of his seat and rushed to the doctors side. "Mr. Wang, how is he?"
"Mr. Min, I will be honest with you. The news aren't great." The doctor started making Jimin's heart drop to his feet.
"He is stable right now. However, the cancer has progressed. The surgery at this point would be too dangerous. I wouldn't be able to assure you that he would come out alive from it."
Jimin's breath hitched at the said words, thoughts of not seeing Yoongi ever again breaking the smaller apart.
"I understand doctor. When will I be able to see him?"
"He is still unconscious, but was moved to a different room. You can observe him though the glass, but cannot enter the room yet. He is out of the danger. However, you know his state and that we may never know what may happen."
Jimin nodded his head before following the doctor, the rest of the group behind them. They were taken to a more secluded area of the hospital, with only the staff were roaming around the halls.
Jimin stood in front of the glass wall and stared at his husband. The world around him came to a stop the moment boys eyes landed on the lifeless figure on the bed. Yoongi was connected to tons of different monitors, showing function of his vital organs.
Jimin places his hand on the glass as he stared at the laying figure, yearning to touch his husband, to feel his warmth, to hold him. A small tear slid down his rosy chubby cheek; the pain he was feeling too strong for his to bare.
"This is all my fault." The raven hair boy murmured, his voice raspy and almost inaudible. "I was beside him this whole time, and yet I allowed this to happen."
"Jimin, you can't go against illness. If doctor's weren't able to stop it then how would you." Namjoon placed his hand on the boys shoulder, trying to calm him down. He was on his way to restroom when he saw the boy talking to the doctor and decided to follow them instead.
"You don't understand it! None of you can understand it!" Jimin almost shouted out as more tears came down. "He was doing fine after the first surgery, his health was improving. If only I didn't stress him out, if I didn't give him a hard time, the cancer wouldn't have progressed!"
"Chim, you know that's not true. You took care of him better than anyone else could. I am sure that without you by his side, he wouldn't have lived this long. You can clearly see he is fighting to stay by your side." Taehyung hugged his soulmate.
"That's not true..." Jimin sobbed out. "I wasn't truthful to him. I doubted him... I thought he was cheating on me. If I were a good boyfriend, I wouldn't have done that."
"What are you talking about? You know he loves you more than himself. Look, you even got married yesterday." Jungkook added while staring at his two friends.
"I guess.. I don't know anymore." Jimin pulled away from the hug and turned around to leave. "I'm going to the restroom."
"And I am not letting you go alone." Taehyung protested before marching behind the older.
As soon as they reached the restroom, Jimin walked over to the sink to freshen his face with cold water. He was feeling overly tired and hurt, his eyes stinging, throat soar and body trembling from crying for too long.
The short boy hadn't even drank or ate anything since yesterday morning. Firstly, he was too nervous to eat because of the wedding, and secondly his now husband was fighting for his life.
It happened too much in last 24 hours that it made Jimin's head spinning. Like all they went through before wasn't enough for the couple.
The small boy looked up at the mirror in front of him, taking in the miserable state he was in. Once again, he found himself being clouded with dark thoughts. He knew it was wrong, but at the same time it seemed so right.
Like never in his life, the small boy felt a strong need to punch the man standing there and staring back at him. To make him shatter into million pieces and use each of them to cut through him contaminated skin. It was full of evil, hatred, sorrow; all the feeling the raven haired boy enveloped after meeting Yoongi's mother for the first time.
She was the source of all misery that came their way. She turned Jimin's brown orbs into bloody red ones. Looking into those eyes, Jimin was definitely sure of one thing; he was ready to make her pay for it. He swore he will bring her down with his own bare hands before he harms himself further.
"I'll take you to hell even if it means that I must accompany you myself."
