Chapter Thirty-Three

I open my eyes as the rays of the sun caress my face. This morning wasn't gray but by soothing lavender and brilliant amber. The colors merged into neon pink and peach. My gaze moved to the sleeping figure beside me. In the wash of the new light, your face takes on the appearance of an old photograph, one of nostalgia, so beautiful. I watch as it brings your skin into focus, not yet animated with the warmth of who you are, as you are still in the land of dreams. And since there is no better thing to do but to bring my body so close that our hearts synchronize. I inhaled your sweet scent while nuzzling my face into the nape of your neck.  "I finally found my panacea." I thought as two arms wrapped around my waist followed by a soft kiss on my forehead. Lifting my gaze, I was greeted with two brown orbs staring at me, bright smile decorating his face. 

"Good morning kitten. " His morning voice sounded so angelic. It's been so long since I saw him this happy in the morning. He has no nightmares last night, no bad memories flashing back, no depression, and suicidal thoughts... I was happy beyond the skies as I stared at his face. It showed so much admiration and affection making me drown from all the love I was receiving from him. 

"Good morning love," I smiled back at him, my eyes turning into small moon crescents. He told me numerous times before how much he loved that smile. He said it appears only when I am genuinely happy which does not happen that often. It is not that I am not happy, I really am happy when I am together with Yoongi. It is just that I spend most of the time worrying about the older that makes my happiness seem less genuine. 

"You have no idea how beautiful you are," he remarked with a slight smirk on his face. His confession made a small blush creeps its way to my check although I heard him say this line many times before. I stared at his enchanting eyes while his gaze kept moving between my eyes and lips. Not long after, I felt his soft lips against mine, moving in slow motion, giving me a tender but yet a passionate kiss. God how I wish to wake up this way every day until the end of my life. 

I was the first one to pull away from the kiss. Catching my breath quickly, I stared at his swollen lips while licking mine. I just loved the way he tasted. He smirked at me and I already knew what was on his mind. But we got no time for that now, so before he could catch me between his arms again; I jumped off the bed and dashed to the bathroom. 

"Nooo... Come back kitten," I heard him groan which made chuckle at his cuteness. I opened the door a little and peeked with my head. "Get ready honey, we have a long day ahead of us." I reminded him. He just whined and hid under the bedsheets. I smiled widely at the sight but returned to the bathroom nevertheless to take a shower. As I told him earlier, it will be a long day today. After all, it's today, the big day. I really hope I will make him happy. 

About an hour later, we were ready for the day, both of us wearing simple clothes. We walked down the long hallway and into the dining area, having a small talk. 

"What do you have planned for today?" asked Yoongi, intertwining our fingers as we held hands.

"First we will have breakfast. You need to eat a lot to stay strong."I teased him a bit at which he pouted. "So cute..." I thought. I leaned in and pecked his lips instantly having his put replaced with a wide smile. "After that, we will take a walk around the city.  There are still a few places I would like to visit with you. And for the end, we will go to Disneyland as promised." I rubbed small circles on his hand with my thumb as Yoongi listened to me carefully, nodding his head here and there. 

Some, we just walked in silence, loving each other's company. "What do you want?" he asked all of a sudden making me confused as to what was he referring to. 

"Huh?" I stared at him. 

"What do you want for your birthday?" he repeated his question, more clear this time. 

Now that he mentioned it, my birthday is close. I completely forgot about it with all the things going on these past few months. It makes me happy knowing that he still remembers it. "I don't want anything Suga." I smiled at him reassuringly. 

"What do you mean you don't want anything? Come on kitten, tell me. What can I do or buy for you?" he pulled me in a tight hug, resting his hands on each side of my waist. 

I hugged him back, wrapping my arms around his neck, stealing a small peck from his lips. I stared in his brown orbs, at my panacea. "Everything that I desire and need is already here, right in my arms."

We were strolling around Disneyland, trying different rides, eating delicious sweets, and taking tons of pictures to have to reminisce later. He held a blue cotton candy while I got a pink one for myself. It was nearing that time and I was looking around the place to see if all of the preparations were completed. The guy that was in charge of collecting payments and controlling the Ferris Wheel signaled to me that they had it completely emptied. It's time to go. 

"Yoongi, let's take that ride now!" I chimed in excitement at the older boy. By grabbing his arm, I dragged him with me toward the towering wheel in front of us. He was laughing the whole time at my enthusiasm. I quickly fake paid to the guy from earlier and went to join Yoongi inside the cabinet. 

His eyes suspiciously the inside of the small cubicle. It was decorated with small hearts, confetti on the floor, and words love written on the windows behind our backs. I smiled at his figure, looking all confused and unconscious of the things that are about to happen. I only hope nothing wrong will come our way. The wheel started moving and Yoongi's stare moved towards me instead of city lights. 

"How come is it that we are the only ones riding it?" he questioned me with one brow raised. Shit. It seems he noticed. 

"I dunno. Let's enjoy the view while we can. I was told that the most beautiful view of Tokyo is from here." I shrugged and turned towards the window to stare out of it. I didn't want him to look me in the eyes now. If he did, he would immediately know that I am hiding something. 

I was sitting opposite him, which made it easier for me to keep an eye on him. He looked so dazzling with all the lights making his face glow. If anyone were to see him, they would definitely think that he was a fallen angel. He emitted a very calming and refreshing aura. Yet I wasn't feeling calm at all. 

We were nearing the top of the wheel and my time was ticking away slowly. Once we reach the top, the wheel will stop moving and it will be the time for me to take the action. All of the events I prepared for tonight will occur and now that I am nearing that moment; I don't feel ready at all. 

"Chim, are you alright? You look a little pale," he asked, worry evident in his voice. "You told me to enjoy in the view but you're here the one who isn't enjoying it. You look absentminded."

A clicking sound echoed in our cabin, signaling that we reached the top. Everything froze and that's when I knew, THE TIME HAS COME...
