Recap

As Daishou looked closer, he could read the name on the screen.

Koutarou Bokuto.

----

"Are you ready?"

The young man lifted his head slowly, black hair following his movement as he eased on a pair of dark gloves, adjusting his tie and sleeves.

"Yes, sir. I am."

"You'll be infiltrating Tooru Oikawa and the others at the museum later today where they'll be making their next appearance at the opening of an exhibit. Keep an eye out for Tetsurou Kuroo and Wakatoshi Ushijima, they'll be with Seijoh with portions of Nekoma and Shiratorizawa with them."

"Any others I should be aware of?" The young man brushed a hand through his hair, dark eyes squinted towards the phone on the table where his leader's voice was coming through.

"One. Koutarou Bokuto, he appears to have sided with Nekoma but we can't determine that just yet. Back at the casino incident I told you about, it appears his deputy had made some sort of plan with Shiratorizawa's Semi Eita. It appeared they were working together for a moment just before he managed to shoot Kuroo." There was a brief pause. "Inarizaki and Karasuno, keep a very careful eye out for them. They've joined forces apparently.. I wouldn't be surprised if you ran into one of them, just act friendly."

"Oh, sir. You know that's a challenge of mine."

"I know you can do it. I'll be sending in backup if push comes to shove."

The boy turned to look at the door briefly before drawing in a breath and nodding once. "What time tonight?"

"Eight is when it starts, but seeing as how your opponents are all trying to sabotage it, you might be there late into the night."

He nodded once more even though he knew his leader couldn't see him, sighing and rolling his wrists in an attempt to calm himself down. "I'll do all I can."

"I'm counting on it, Sakusa."

***

Bokuto was resting beside Akaashi by the time he heard his phone ring somewhere buried in the covers nearby, mumbling something begrudgingly before turning around to look for it.

Yawning, he sat up carefully to not disturb his deputy and reached for it, his free hand tracing random patterns gently down the back of Akaashi's dress shirt. "Hello?"

Kiyoko was on the other line, her voice instantly recognizable. "I'm sorry to bother you," she began, an unusual sharpness to her tone as if she was focusing on something else while speaking. "How is Akaashi feeling?"

"He's alright," Bokuto peered over at his deputy, admiring the - in his opinion - lovely curve of Akaashi's waist for a moment before focusing. "Resting at the moment, but his breathing has improved."

"Glad to hear it," Kiyoko was silent a beat too long for comfort before her voice returned, accompanied by a sigh. "Has he coughed any more blood since returning back to the suite?"

"No, not that I've seen." Bokuto leaned back against the headboard, resting his head against it and exhaling. "What did you need?"

"Some questions have been going around," Kiyoko glared at Daishou disdainfully, Tanaka's hand settling on her shoulder as if he was bracing for something to go wrong. "We've been worried about you, but we're concerned the casino stunt might have been planned. Be honest with me."
