His eyes were narrowed in something that could almost faintly be compared to jealousy, but the rest of his expression was a simple, flat-out annoyance.
"Am I interrupting something?"

Iwaizumi tilted his head inquiringly, relaxing once realizing it was Oikawa. "No, we were just finished up here, actually."
Oikawa huffed in disbelief, folding his arms over his chest and glaring past his deputy in order to see Kageyama. He was surprised to find the boy held his gaze without faltering, satisfied when he eventually looked away.
"A word please," Oikawa then turned his narrowed eyes to Iwaizumi, who raised a brow and scoffed. "If you would, Hajime." He added bitterly for extra measure before turning around and walking back out into the hall.
Iwaizumi blinked in surprise, he'd gotten so accustomed to 'Iwa-chan' he forgot Oikawa was even capable of saying any other name. He could feel waves of unease radiating off of Kageyama behind him, turning around and giving him a reassuring smile. "If I'm not back in an hour, you know why."
Kageyama just nodded, brows arched a little as he watched the door close with that, settling down again in the silence.
Iwaizumi turned the corner Oikawa had, finding him just outside the door of the leaders' quarters and sighing as he approached. "What's your deal now, eh?"
"How much did you tell him?" Oikawa pivoted to face him, voice lowered to a near whisper as he searched his deputy's face for a sign of guilt.
"He has the right to know," Iwaizumi ignored the question, advancing a step closer and narrowing his eyes. "He used to be a part of you, a part of all of us. Why would I keep such simple things like this from him when he looks up to you so much?"
"This isn't the same Tobio that we knew those years ago!" Oikawa retorted, raising his voice only slightly as his agitation got the best of him, lifting his hands while speaking as if that would get the point across. "He's dangerous! And you just gave him one of our weak points? Hajime, what are you thinking?!"
Iwaizumi sighed sharply in annoyance, grabbing one of Oikawa's wrists and twisting it only as necessary while using his other arm to brace the boy back against the wall, staying inches away from his face. "First of all, quiet down if you want this to stay your little secret."
Oikawa abruptly shut his mouth after wincing, his free hand pressed up against Iwaizumi's chest to keep a respectable amount of distance between them while warmth flushed across his face, letting his deputy speak.
"Second of all, you really need to get over yourself." Iwaizumi muttered, words ice cold and leaving no room for any tension at the awkward position they were in. "You're gonna get in trouble one of these days if you stay this ignorant."
"Watch your mouth." Oikawa sneered, letting his hand drift over to Iwaizumi's tie and messing with it between his fingers tauntingly. "I'd keep in mind the position you're in if you want to make this easy."
Iwaizumi made a 'pfft' sound under his breath and raised a brow sarcastically. "What, you mean how I'm the one with you against the wall and not vise-versa?"
Oikawa curled his upper lip in a scoff and was quiet for a few moments before sighing and shaking his head. "You're unbelievable. First you give away one of my weaknesses that could be seriously dangerous if Tobio-chan relays it back to Karasuno, and then you try to charm your way out of it."
"Well clearly it's working." Iwaizumi remarked wryly as he motioned to the faint blush that dusted Oikawa's face, to which he huffed and tilted his head away.
