Blood.

That was all you saw on that day.

Everything was stained in blood. You reached your arm out to your master, your friend... but...

"Auntie (Y/N)?" A voice called. You were snapped back to reality. You took in the sight of the young girl in front of you. Friya was barely ten years old, but she was full of energy and hate for the newly-formed Empire. Even though it had only existed for a couple of years, it was the most powerful body you'd ever known about.

Just six months before that fateful day, you and Captain Rex confessed your feelings for each other and began a secret relationship- one that the Jedi order never found out about.

You never had to deal with leaving the order, because it no longer exists.

You were on a special mission in the outer rim with your old master when it happened, with only a small clone unit. But that clone unit was enough to take the two of you down. It was a miracle that you made it out alive. You watched them as they received the order straight from the Chancellor- no, the Emperor. You watched them as they turned their blasters on you.

Your master was too forgiving, and he paid the price for it. You were lucky enough to sustain a couple of blaster bolts. One of the blasters had been left on stun by accident, and the clones mistook you for being dead. They abandoned your bodies and left.

When you awoke, you were laying next to your master, dead. They didn't even bother to close his eyelids. They were merciless.

But it wasn't their fault. You went undercover, trying to figure out why it all happened the way it did. There was no way your loyal troopers could turn on the Jedi so quickly. They were loyal to the Republic, but the Jedi were their friends- their family.

It was the inhibitor chips that sealed their memories and their personalities away, so that they essentially became organic droids, blindly following any command by the Emperor. You choked back tears, recalling the whole ordeal. Friya gave up on trying to get your attention and just grabbed your hand to pull you along.

You had escaped onto a small planet and refuged with the family that Friya belonged to. The Sherans never questioned you very much. Turns out they were avid supporters of the Jedi, being saved on multiple accounts by other knights and clone troopers. Hearing them regale the stories of your fallen brothers and sisters made you feel like they were being honored properly.

"Come on, Auntie." Friya said, getting more frustrated. You picked up your pace to match hers. You didn't know why she was in such a hurry. The two of you rounded a corner to the village square, and you suddenly knew what she was looking for. That pristine white armor was blinding.

Stormtroopers.

Your heart dropped as you flung yourself behind the corner you just came from. You tried hard to calm your heavy breaths. Friya came back to you, looking concerned.

"What's wrong, Auntie? Aren't we going to fight these guys?" She asked innocently.

"Friya.." You said. "We can't fight them. Not now. We don't have the strength to."

"Sure we do!" She said, trying to flex her arm muscles. "I can knock them all down with one punch!"

It was true that she was stronger than most of the kids her age, but a ten-year-old girl and a fallen Jedi can barely do anything against a squad of stormtroopers, plus however many more are on the ship. Even though stormtroopers were no match for clone troopers, you still could do nothing. Your lightsaber was back at the house anyway.
