relationship: fiance to vinnie, planning your wedding
"it's a venue, baby, not the end of the fucking world," your boyfriend mumbled, lips pressed into the top of your head. you rolled your eyes and continued to shuffle through the ideas you'd brainstormed on your laptop.
"i know it's not," you responded, concentrating on the buildings you begin to scroll past. "that doesn't mean i don't want it to be pretty." you and your now fiance had just started to plan your wedding, and to say you were stressed was an understatement. it's every little girl's dream: a picture perfect wedding, just how they envisioned it when they were ten years old. the dress, the venue, the flowers, every last detail meant everything to you, and vinnie could see it the moment you started to discuss it.
"it'll be beautiful wherever we decide to have it. whether it be in the backyard--" you shoved your elbow back into his ribs and he scoffed, stepping back to avoid the next hit you were prepping, "-- or in a castle in England. it will work out just how you want it to, i promise." when you hadn't reacted to that statement, he leaned towards you once more, gently running his hands down your arms in hopes to ease the tension he could sense building inside of you.
"i don't need it to be in a castle, vin, i just want it to be cute, and real, and us." you intertwined your fingers with his as they reached your hands, and leaned back into his chest, gently tilting your head up to meet his gaze.
"okay, we can do that." he nodded, smiling lightly and holding your eyes before leaning down and brushing his lips against your own. you smiled into the kiss, gently squeezing his hands still tangled with your own.
pulling away shortly after, you faced the computer screen once more and began scrolling through options again. vinnie let go of your hands and walked around the kitchen counter you were sat at and opened the fridge, pulling out a bowl of strawberries and hopping onto the island while grabbing some of the fruit to eat.
"so, what kinda vibe are you looking for?" he asked, putting the rind of the berry onto the counter next to the bowl.
"well," you paused, contemplating your next words. "light and airy, i think. like outside partially, at least, white and another color?" you thought out loud, watching him nod at your suggestions. "i don't want it to feel stuffy, or too cluttered. roomy and simple with decor would be perfect," you finished, typing in a few of those key words to search for a possible place.
"i like that," he answered, sucking the juice off his fingers quickly before pushing the bowl aside and focusing his attention on you. "i like the simplicity idea, less is more kinda thing. and white with another color would be good. maybe a light blue?" he smiled at the thought of you holding a light blue bouquet as you walked down the isle, his stomach fluttering as he saw the image play out in his head. he absolutely loved the way the color complimented your skin and your eyes, and if he could have a say in the decision, that's what it was going to be.
"yeah..." you trailed off, pondering on the idea of light blue as the accent color. "yeah, i like it." you nodded, smiling at the stupid grin and wide eyes he gave you in response. "it'll be good for flowers for the bouquet, and it's kind of unique--"
