"Well, how will we surrender this guy?" Hoshi pointed at Yeonjun whose hands are tied on his back.

"That's what I'm saying. We should have killed him in that antique shop and left him rot there!" Chan also has his hands tied using Joshua's hands.

These three started bickering the moment they woke up.

"We can just tell them the truth, that we saw the mafia with him." Joshua suggested.
"No!! Don't tell them about the mafia, Woozi will kill my brother!"

"Ahhhh your annoying brother speech again!"

Chan let loose from Joshua and kicked Yeonjun. Hoshi stopped him before his foot touch him. Then Chan snatched the gun from Hoshi's waist. This time, he clicked the chamber and the gun's loaded.

"Chan." Joshua hugged him from behind.
"Don't you want him dead, too? He might do it again to other families. Just kill him!"
"I'm here. I'm your family now."

Chan faced Joshua and started crying.

"I can't live knowing this person is still breathing. Will you forgive me if I shoot him?"
"I will forgive you."
"Then-"

"But how about your parents? They wanted to see you take an oath, an oath to save lives. Can you pledge it, knowing you have taken one life before?"
"This is for papa.. I will be a doctor for papa."

"Besides, the prison life for this guy is more painful than death. You know, interrogation, jail, boring construction works inside. It's a pain in the ass." I added.
"You know what, you're not helping." Joshua covered Chan's ears.
"What? That's logical." I shrugged.

"On a second thought, might as well just kill me." Yeonjun volunteered.

"Woaaah. Jeonghan, you threatened this kid." Hoshi slapped the wall while laughing.
"Hey. Don't die."

Finally, Chan settled down and had a chat with Yeonjun. They talked about many things, to try to understand each other.

"So." Joshua relaxed on his chair. "Maybe we can protect your brother for you." Joshua offered.
"Really?"

"Stop being a hero. That's too much work and, worse, no pay." I said.
"But his brother is threatened."
"We faced the mafia twice, and we even barely made it out alive. Now how will you protect someone from them?"
"Okay, I'll pay you."

"Compute all the expenses, now!" I ran to Hoshi and looked for his phone.
"On it!" He has already opened the calculator app.

"Food, gas, weapons, hmm, okay! It's 100 dollars per day."
"Call."

I kind of regretted to agree on Joshua's offer. We immediately went to the Gangnam General Hospital, the same hospital Chan go for his internship. Poor kid doesn't have a break, he went straight to his duty.

"You don't know what room your brother is?" I asked.
"I'm sorry. That's how they got me, I tried to check each room to look for him."
"Why didn't you ask the receptionist?"
"Woozi's men were on the look out there."

"Yeah, that's how I noticed his men." Joshua said.
"Then, I'll guard you." Hoshi voluteered.

"I'll wait here." I motioned to the bleachers.
"Joshua, you rest there, too. You don't have a decent sleep." Hoshi said.
"I'm good, though."
"Ah come on, Jeonghan doesn't bite."

"What if I do?"
"Ahh. Jeonghan doesn't have the rabies."
"Fineee."

I grabbed Joshua's arm and sat on the bleachers while on the look out.

"Stay one seat apart from me." I said.
"No." He sat literally next to me.
"We're on the look out. At least pretend."
"No."
"Ugh."

"Why do you hate me so much?" Joshua looked at my face so I pushed him away.
"I just hate doctors in general."
"Because?"
"Because you guys are hypocrites. You took this profession saying you want to help people, but you will only help them if they can pay you."

Mom..

"Fair point. But Chan is not like that. He's going to be a skillful doctor helping many those in need." Joshua looked at the distance, as if seeing Chan.

"How about you? Are you a hypocrite?"
"Maybe."

I looked him in the eye to read him. Still none, why am I even trying.

"Why do you always do this?"
"The what?" I answered without breaking eye contact.
"Nevermind. Anyway, that's the only reason why you hate me?"
"You also remind me so much of that person."
"Who?"

My mom, the greatest liar I've ever known. The reason why I learned to read people. The reason why I keep on living.

"Guys." Hoshi called.

We got up and came closer to them.

"They went home already." Yeonjun said.
"Oh, so."
"It's okay. The bill is all settled. They told me that someone in the same clothing as mine paid our bills."

"Woozi.."

"Maybe he isn't that bad?" Joshua asked.
"I don't know about that." I said.

Yeonjun continued "I borrowed Hoshi's phone and called home. They're safe and they're waiting for me. I.. I told them everything. I told them that I killed Chan's father.. My brother volunteered to be my lawyer so

Surrender me to the cops."
