17: Coincidence?

He stood tall with his hands in his pockets and looked down at me.

"I was seeing my father off for one of his business trips, what are you doing here?" he said in a monotonous voice.

I lifted my head to get a clearer look at his face and said, "Oh, I was also dropping someone off. My friend, Micheal." almost in a whisper.

"Oh? You never introduced him to us." Alex said with an raised eyebrow.

"Oh um, he's just never around that much this year. He's got some stuff to take care of, so yeah. But like, where is Alina?" I look around in a rush while trying not to stutter.

I don't know why but he makes me nervous. It's like his aura is overwhelming my senses and I can feel my brain frying.

"Alina is meeting up with our professor to test out some recently engineered vaccine... Well since we meet coincidentally, let's grab something to drink. Shall we?" as he took my hands with his.

My thoughts froze, trying to process what's going on; but before I could respond, I was already unconsciously walking behind him.

The thought of his hands being surprisingly warm went through my mind, and as I caught myself thinking that, I couldn't stop blushing. But, I also didn't feel like letting go.
