It's the middle of the night Keigo can't sleep. He was feeling restless and tried to find any position to get comfortable in. He tiredly reaches over to your warm body for comfort, only to feel nothing but cold sheets.

"Now I know why I can't sleep," Keigo scoffs. "Y/n's not here." Keigo slowly rolls out of the bed, careful not to crush his crimson wings. He let out a hiss in complaint as his feet touched the cold, hardwood floor. "Where could my little bird be?" Keigo thought to himself. He stumbled to the bathroom, thinking maybe you had a cramp, but you weren't there. He then noticed a dim light coming from the hallway. "She must be in the living room then". Keigo made his way down the hallway, and into the living room, where he finds you sitting, snuggly on the couch, writing, knowing that you are having a creative spurt. You didn't seem to notice his presence.

"Y/n? What are you doing?" Keigo yawned, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. His voice startled you from what you were doing. "At least I finally got her attention", Keigo thought.

"Oh, Keigo! You scared me," you sighed.

"What are you doing out here baby bird?" Keigo asked in a groggy voice.

"I had a really good idea and I didn't want to forget it," you explained as your fingers fly across you laptop

"Baby bird, it's 2 o'clock in the morning. Come to bed," Keigo begs you.

"No," you pout still concentrating on your screen, not noticing him walking gently towards you. "I have type this down, and if I don't then I'll forget, and then I won..." suddenly you were interrupted with his lip pressing against yours. It was a little rough because you were talking, but it was still sweet.

"Okay," Keigo smiled at you. "I'll stay up with you then."

"Really?" you asked. "But you have work tomorrow? Won't you be tired?"

"I'll be fine. Besides, I can't sleep unless you're beside me," Keigo sighed. "I'll go make us some tea," he said as he walked to the kitchen.

"That sounds so good," you said, then you got back to work. After about 10 minutes, Keigo sat next to you on the couch.

"Here you go my dove," Keigo grinned at you, giving you your mug of tea.

"Thank you darling," you cooed. You took a sip of the herbal drink, feeling the warmth spread throughout your body. "This is good. What kind of tea is it," you asked your husband.

"I just found a box that we haven't tried yet and thought now was a good time," Keigo winked at you. You chuckled at his mysterious aura and took another long sip from your mug. "So, how come you're working so late my little night owl?" Keigo asked.

"What can I say? My mind is most active at night. Besides, I get most of my best ideas when I'm tired," You explained. Keigo chuckled and took a drink from his mug, and nuzzled his golden head into the crook of your neck.

You were working for another 20 minutes and was getting excited about a plot twist that you just thought of when a wave of exhaustion hit you like a car. You yawned and tried to concentrate on your work, but it was proving to be difficult.

"I wasn't tired a minute ago," you thought to yourself when an idea came across your fuzzy mind. You picked up the tea mug that was now completely drained of its contents and sniffed to see if you could find out what was in it.

"Keigo, what was in that tea you gave me?" you asked him.

"There was nothing in it dove. It was just some sleepy tea that I gave you," he mumbled in your ear.

"What? Why did you do that?" you pouted.

"Because it's not healthy for you to be staying up this late dove. I know how your mind can get busy and you have good ideas at night, but you need your sleep," Keigo said, he took the mug from your hands and shut your laptop.

"Yeah, but Kei..." Keigo silenced you with his mouth on yours. His lips were soft, and the kisses were so warm and gentle. He lulled your active mind into giving in to the insistent call of sleep.

"It will keep till tomorrow my dove. You can keep writing in the morning," he breathed. You lost the battle and gave into sleep. Keigo picked up your limp body, carrying you bridal style, from the couch, and staggered sleepily to your bedroom. He gently laid you down on the bed and covered you with your f/c comforter. Your husband then climbed in bed from behind you, cradling you in his arms, legs tangled with yours, his wings folded behind him.

"I love you baby bird," Keigo whispers in your ear before the two of you melt into each other's embrace and fall asleep.
