I was tossing and turning for about twenty minutes before huffing and sitting up. I hadn't been having too much trouble sleeping but honestly I wasn't that tired. I looked around my room and saw that light come through the bottom of my bedroom door. I knew the light was the hallway light, and the thought of wandering the halls and exploring came to mind.
But I didn't want to die by the hands of an angry Jungkook so I immediately let that idea fall from my head. I let out a very long sigh before falling back onto my pillow. No matter how much I tired to go to sleep I just couldn't.
I looked at the time and it was only another ten minutes that passed. I slammed my phone down pulling the covers off of me and got up from the bed. I turned my light on and looked around the room for anything to distract me. I started to walk towards my balcony, thinking maybe if I sit out there at least I could have the time to think.
But I didn't need time to think.
I knew what I wanted to do.
So right as my hand landed on the handle of my balcony door, I stopped. It took only a few more second to convince myself, and I turned around, grabbed my keys and walked towards my bedroom door.
I made sure to be as quiet as possible, locking my door behind me. Very slowly I made my way across the wide hallway to Jin's door. I almost knocked. My hand was raised and my knuckles against the door, but if he wasn't awake, I didn't want to wake him.
So as quietly as a key and lock would let me, I unlocked Jin's door and stepped inside.
To my surprise, he wasn't asleep.
He was sitting up on his bed, the bedside table light on, his glasses covering his eyes, and a book in his hand.
I almost didn't say anything.
I almost turned around.
But I didn't.
"Jin?" I whispered as quietly as I could.
His entire body jerked and the book nearly flew across the door as he looked up and saw me peeking through. His hand flew to his chest to cover his heart and he let out a very harsh breath.
"Rena!" He exclaimed.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I'm sorry, I'll go." I said as I was about to step back and close the door.
"No wait!" He called, making me stop and look up. "Come in." He said standing from his bed and walking towards me. "Please, I'm just easily startled."
He then opened up the door wide as I stood at the threshold of his bedroom door. "I...I couldn't sleep..."
"Neither could I." He said. "Do you want to come in?"
"I'm not interrupting your book?" I asked, pulling on the sleeve of my shirt.
"No, I've read it before." He said. "Please come in." He said, giving me a sweet and welcoming smile.
"Thank you." I said stepping in and looking around. The entire room had a very warm hue to it, the wood of the bed a dark mahogany color, and the décor of the room very simple, just as mine was. I heard the door shut behind me, and I was suddenly very aware that we were for the first time, entirely and utterly alone.
No surveillance.
No body guards.
Nothing.
I turned around to see him leaning against the wall, looking at me with a small smile.
"I'm glad you came to get me." He said.
"I was worried I was going to wake you up."
"Are you okay?"
