I Never Hated You- Bryce Hall

I let out a breath of air as I approached the door. I was wearing a mini black dress which showed off my body perfectly, a long jacket and a pair of black heels, I also had my hair straight with minimal makeup on as I didn't really need it. I stepped through the door and was greeted by Josh. "Y/n hey" Josh spoke and brought me into a tight hug.

Josh and I have been friends since we were born, so when he moved out to LA I moved with him and no we have and never will date. "Glad you could make it" He smiled, taking my jacket and throwing it in a spare room. "Thank you for inviting me" I laughed and took his hand as he lead me though the house. 

I hadn't been to the new Sway house yet due to corona, but I got a test yesterday and the results came back negative meaning I could come round. The boys were having a small gathering for new year- and by small I mean me Josh, Jaden, Mads, Blake, Jrod, some of the people who help behind the scene who I haven't met yet and Bryce. 

When I first met Bryce I hated him, he was so up himself and problematic. Josh new I never liked him but told me to give him the benefit of the doubt - I tried but I couldn't like someone who nearly had my friend arrested. That's when I blocked him, on everything. Recently though, he has really changed himself and has become someone who cares for others more than himself. He's still crazy, he can just control himself and now I've got a slight - maybe more than slight - crush on him. I guess there is a thin line between love and hate. 

"Is that y/n y/ln I see" Mads squealed and ran over to me. "Maddison Lewis" I squealed back, and ran to meet her half way. Mads and I have been the bestest of friends since I moved out here, we were gonna move in together but again corona. I went round everyone and said hello, but I couldn't find Bryce. I shrugged it off and went to go get a drink.

 The legal drinking age in Canada is 18, so technically Josh and I are fine. Plus, we used to do this all the time back home. "Do shots with me" Josh pleaded making me laugh and join him. "SHOTS!" Josh shouted making a few people appear. "Did someone say shots" I heard a familiar voice from the stairs, and there he was...

Dressed in black pants and a white shirt with most buttons undone, a chain round his neck and jet black hair. Bryce.

He came running over and stood across from me, looking at me puzzled as he couldn't figure out who I was. Quick disclaimer, Bryce hated me back. I mean no wonder he didn't recognise me, I've changed a lot. I used to be a sweet girl with dirty blonde hair which was always frizzy and wore in a high pony, I'd always where my headache glasses, with my hoodie - always a hoodie. I used to be so insecure because of the hate I'd receive for being Josh's friend, until one day I just cracked and stopped being that insecure girl.

Now, I have straight jet black hair which is always down, I don't wear my glasses so much, I have a few tattoos on my lower arms,  I always wear what I want - it doesn't matter what others say or think - and weed is a new coping mechanism.

I never knew why Bryce hated me, he just did. Anyway, we all had three shots each - Josh, Bryce, Jaden and I, everyone else chickened out and Mads doesn't drink that much. "okay and go" Josh yelled, making us all start thinking it was a race. Of course the Canadians drew in first, followed by the other two. "Yes bud" Josh dabbed me up making me laugh.

"Of course the two Canadians win eh" I laughed turning to Jaden, who gave me a bitchy smile back. "And that's why she's my wife!" Mads shouted from the other room making Jaden and I laugh.  I went to my bag which was in the room with my jacket and got one of my blunts out before searching for my lighter. I walked back through and sat beside Jaden cause I new he would mind if I smoked with him.
