Chapter 06
Shift
Even the few days after that.
It's so funny. I did not even hide how pitiful they were even when we're in front of the crowd.
"Nababaliw ka na ba?" I smirked, looking at the bouquet of flowers. "Gusto mo ako?"
The guy looked down. He's actually tall and muscular. I recognized him as one of the volleyball players in our school. Tumawa ako at tinapik ang balikat niya.
But what's funny is the way he combined a green polo shirt and washed out jeans with his yellow shoes. He looked like an environmentalist.
"You should better look at yourself first," bulong ko bago naglakad palayo.
Even after all the guys swarming over me, I can't help but to feel weird. I was uneasy and bothered. But I only blamed it to my mood swings.
After all, I donated tons of clothes to the orphanage. So when Sunday came, I went to the mall to shop.
Holding three paperbags, I went inside a stationary shop. I probably need a new set of colored pens for my plates.
While searching for some useful things, I saw a small keychain of a dog. It's actually annoying to look at because if you touch it, its head kept on nodding.
Why the hell would they sell things like these? I rolled my eyes. It's so annoying like Jackson.
Natigilan ako. Something just makes sense all of a sudden. He's not bothering me these past few days. Hindi ko na rin siya masyadong nakikita.
Duh, malaki kaya ang campus. Pero, araw-araw niya akong pinapansin o iniinis.
I glared at the keychain. I touched it again and its head kept on nodding.
From the end of the shelf, I saw Tracy, my very amazing cousin—note the sarcasm.
I smirked. Kung nandito si Mommy, she would probably run towards her and smile. Of course, the nation's best daughter. Nakakairita.
She's just too perfect that it's making my blood boil. Matalino, maganda, mabait, lahat na! Everytime we would have a family dinner, she's always the highlight. Pinakapaborito sa lahat.
But I knew what she's doing. Tita would always compliment her for being so obedient when in fact, I saw her at a bar, wasted with her friends.
Kagaya ko, mahilig din siyang mag party. Kagaya ko, malakas din siyang uminom. She probably slept a man. But the bad girl is always me. It's always me.
"Oh, what a privilege," sabi ko. "Hi, Tracy."
Her face immediately changed when she saw me.
"Why are you so mean?" I mocked. "Hindi mo man lang ba papansinin ang favorite cousin mo?"
She glared at me. "What is it this time, Lois? Bakit ba lagi mo nalang ako tinitira?"
I sarcastically laughed. "What? Wala naman akong ginagawa, ah? I'm just... saying 'hi'."
