I was so scared at the time of the auditions. My sister tried to console me, but it was of no use. At last they called my name. I was the last one to be called. I nervously went inside the room. There were three people sitting in front of a raised platform. They were, the Director of the show, Matt Hastings, The author of the book, Cassandra Claire, and the casting director, Natasha Grey. I got even more nervous. I remember seeing them in YouTube videos, during their interviews. I had never thought of meeting them in real life. To my comfort, they all seemed to be in a good mood. I thought they might be exhausted after all the people who came for auditions. Then I remembered seeing only a few people for the auditions. 'Maybe it is tough role'. I thought to myself.
' Hey, can you introduce yourself? ' Cassandra asked me in sweet way. I introduced myself, and they seemed to be interested in a having a lawyer in front of them. Then they asked me to act out a really intense scene. They told me to imagine my kid being snatched away from me by a greater demon. I was actually shocked to hear that! ' wow that's intense! ' I thought to myself. But suddenly a scene came into my mind. A scene that will always make me feel tense and sad. I remembered when my favourite pet died. Her name was Winnie. She was the best dog I have ever met. A true angel. Thinking about her made my eyes well up. I started sobbing loudly, then I remembered about the scene, and started acting out as if someone is trying to steal my kid from me. Thanks to the dance ( Barathanatyam) that I learned when I was younger. That dance form consisted of acting out imaginary scenes, sad, happy, angry etc. It was kinda easy for me. After maybe 8-10 minutes of those intense acting parts, I heard a " Ding". At that moment I stopped my acting and straightened my clothes. I looked at the just judges while wiping my eyes. They seemed.. Shocked. Their mouths were shaped as big 'O' s. It looked funny to be honest. I didn't know what to do. I just stood there. I tied my hands behind my back.
All of a sudden there was a loud noise from outside. That's when the judges woke up from their daydreams, and acted cool. I smiled at them. 'They seemed.. Impressed? ' I was questioning their reaction. Then Matt started talking, ' that was really awesome! Are you sure you've not acted before? ' he asked, ' yes sir I'm sure of it' I answered. 'Wow', he continued, ' We would want you to come to another audition on 21 st in St Patrick's auditorium' I nodded my head, and after a few more auditions I was selected for the role. It was really like a dream come true. I enjoyed a lot when I acted in Shadowhunters. It seemed like the Shadowhunters comeback was really way more famous than the old one. Most of them said it was because of me, and my character. I didn't believe it . People thought I denied the praise was because I trying to be modest but I didn't really think it was because of me. Because the rest of the cast was way too perfect for me. We got invited to many famous shows like The Jimmy Fallon and Kimmel shows. We had 2 seasons. It was a such a big hit. I acted in 3 movies in between the shows. 2 of them were horror and the other was action. I was actually good at doing stunts, because in Shadowhunters we had to do stunts in high heels. We had to work out really well to maintain stamina, and to be truthful, I actually enjoyed it a lot. I even studied Hip Hop from Harry ( Harry Shum jr) . We were all really thick friends. But unfortunately we had to stop the show with just 2 seasons, because most of us had many other projects too.

" Criss!!! " I heard someone calling me. I looked around. I saw my manager glaring at me. " Time to go girl! " She told me. I realised that I zoned out for all this time. I held my chin high, and kept on saying to myself, ' show's on people'. I stepped outside my car. There was a a loud applause and cheers from the crowds. I smiled at them. It was a genuine smile. I walked towards the screen where they where taking pictures. Actually I'm not a great fan of camera's flashing at me. But this was part of the ritual, so I had to do it. I brushed off my long hair from my shoulder, which I had curled.
And makeup was really soft that went well with the hair and costume. I was pretty happy with my look. I thought it was different . Most people would go for a bold makeup look, or a red lip. But I just went for a soft look. Pretty much satisfied to be honest.
" You look really pretty Criss! " Someone shouted from the crowd. I blushed. I cursed myself for blushing. I looked at that direction and mouthed ' Thank you'.
