Soon, they arrived at the station that housed the Hogwarts Express, apparating with their parents. Audrey and James had a pretty good idea as to how they were supposed to get onto Platform 9 3/4, and they could hardly contain their excitement. With Cheshire cat grins on their faces they looked at each other.
"Ready Potter?" they asked simultaneously and nodded in answer.
"Bye mum!" Audrey yelled.
"Bye dad!" James exclaimed after her, and the twins ran straight between Platform 9 and 10.
"Oh for Rowena's sake, HOLD ON WON'T YOU!" Euphemia roared, and the parents ran after the Potter siblings, Fleamont mad with laughter.
The family of four instantaneously found themselves on Platform 9 3/4,
They stopped dead in their tracks, awestruck. A scarlet steam engine stood before them in all of its grandeur. There was a sign above that read 'Hogwarts Express, 11 o'clock'. The platform was bustling with excitement from first years, dread from fifth years, who had their O.W.Ls this year, and some random couples acting all mushy and making out. James and Audrey crinkled their nose in disgust at this sight and quickly looked away. They could see what seemed like millions of owls, flying around, or sleeping peacefully in their cages. Audrey subconsciously glanced over to her snowy owl, Athene, who was sleeping in her cage, a slight smile evident of the girl's face.
The twins turned around to face their parents. Mia was tearing up, and Fleamont had a proud smile on his face, looking at his children.Mia ran a hand through James' hair attempting to tidy it.
"Gerroff mum," he said ducking and missing her hand with a smile on his face. Mia slightly shook her head, and
took out her ancient pocket watch. It was an ornate copper watch, with silver carvings on it. It was a family heirloom passed down generation after generation to the females of the family.
Her eyes widened slightly looking at the time. "It's already 10:55, board the train quick," she said engulfing her kids into a hug.
Fleamont did the same and they started walking towards the train.
"We will disown you if you don't get into Gryffindor!" Fleamont exclaimed after them.
"Oh shut up, won't you Fleamont! Kids, your father is absolutely stupid, we won't disown you," Mia called after them.
"Unless you are sorted into Slytherin, ow, alright fine, fine, we won't disown you..." Fleamont replied, after getting smacked on the arm by Euphemia. The kids just chuckled.
"They will never grow up, will they," Audrey said.
"No, they won't," James replied, and they boarded the train. While they were searching for a compartment, they heard their father's voice scream GRYFFINDOR. They both burst into laughter, shaking their heads. "YES, DAD!" They replied with the same amount of enthusiasm. This was going to be a hell of a year...
