23rd June.

The Great Hall.

The Transfiguration final.

"I think I got the last one right. The one about Moss' law of transfiguration of living things. But I'm not too sure," Peter said, fidgeting with the strap of his bag.

"I don't understand why they make us study about these laws if they aren't going to teach us how to do them practically," Audrey said with a roll of her eyes.

"Teaching them practically is o.w.l. material. We still have next year for that," Remus said looking at her.

"Then they should introduce it next year. It's just extra stuff that everyone'll forget about," she grumbled, skipping a rock into the lake. It made three perfect ripples before disappearing into the lake. The incident with Diggory had happened almost a month ago, and the boys had not left her side since then. They always found some way to be around her, not wanting to leave her alone again. The day before, Peter had followed her around the entire castle, even though he had a slight different schedule than her. This resulted into him landing into two detentions, but he didn't mind.

"How do you always make it go like that?" Remus said with a chuckle.

"It's all in the wrist mate," she said with a slight grin.

"I need to finish some packing. I'll see you two later, yea?" Peter asked after a while. The two nodded at him, and he walked away from the clearing.

"So, tell me Vix, what's going on with you and Sirius?" Remus asked with a raised eyebrow, a slight smirk on his face.

Audrey rolled her eyes. "Nothing is going on between us Moony. We're just friends,"

"Right, you're just friends, and Marlene isn't gay." Remus said looking at her pointedly. She pushed him a little in his side.

"It's not like that Rem. And are we sure Mar is lesbian? She's never actually said it," she asked, sitting down on the ground.

"Audrey, everyone in the school will know she's gay before she actually realizes it. And have you looked at the way she looks at Meadows?" Remus said with a grin.  Audrey laughed a little, nodding in agreement.

"That does sound like Mar," Audrey said.

"Now, coming back to you and Sirius. What's happening there?" he said, turning to face her.

"I mean, he's cute. Even you can admit that" she started, and Remus nodded. "But I don't want to do anything to potentially ruin our friendship. And have you looked at the type of girls he hangs around with? I could never compete with that. Like, alright, look at Heather. She's a bitch, but she's hot, everyone knows that." she said, looking at her best friend. "Plus, Sirius doesn't like me like that. That's what's most important,"

Remus stared at her in disbelief.

"Audrey Potter, you and Pads are the most oblivious people in this entire school. You two might be smart but genuinely lack common sense. How can two people be so absolutely clueless, defies me,"

"Alright, alright, stop making fun of us and get to the point," Audrey grumbled, lighting a cigarette. Remus promptly snatched it away from her hand, throwing it into the Black Lake.
