"What?" the ginger asked her friend who had gone pale.

"Er, nothing, I need to go," Audrey mumbled out, haphazardly stuffing her bag with her belongings and breaking into a sprint, out of the library.

Last she saw, Remus was with the boys in the Common Room. As soon as she was out of the library, the cold winter air hit her roughly, stinging her cheeks with severity. Her loud footsteps echoed in the almost empty hallways, most people being on their dorms or common rooms, not wanting to face the freezing temperatures. The few people who were outside looked at the Potter with confusion, some of them calling out polite greetings as well. But Audrey had no time to answer them. She skid over the wet floors, before finally reaching the Gryffindor common room.

"Caput Draconis," she muttered to the Fat lady.

"Oh, hello Audrey, how are you-" the portrait started.

"Caput Draconis." Audrey interrupted with more severity, looking into her eyes.

She groaned in disgust, wrinkling her nose at her rudeness. The door swung open, and the Potter ran in while the Fat lady muttered something about "rude and snobbish kids".

She entered the room, a blast of warmth entering her. She saw the four boys sitting near around the fire, laughing at a joke James had told, all happy and satisfied. And Audrey hated to be the one to break them up.

Sirius' eyes darted towards the girl immediately as she entered, his granite eyes brightening up a little more.

"Hey Aud," he said cheerily. She nodded in return, managing a small smile, before grabbing Remus' mitten clad hand.

"I need to talk to you Rem," she said, and without waiting for his answer, dragged him out of the Common Doom, leaving behind three very confused boys. The waked to an abandoned Charms classroom, wordlessly.

"Er, Aud, what's up?" Remus asked, confused from the events that had just taken place.

"So, I was in the library, with Lily, and I was reading this book Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. And I got to the part about werewolves," Audrey said hesitantly, not knowing how to approach the topic. Remus' eyes darted towards her, darkening at the mention of werewolves. He gulped slightly, not trying to give anything away.

"And then, I started thinking. Your behaviour around certain days, your scars, your lame excuses that you expect everyone to believe. You really expect us to think that, that scar was caused due to your rabbit scratching you?" she asked more confidently, pointing at a particularly deep scar on his right arm.

"You are a werewolf, aren't you?" she asked, looking into his brown eyes. She hoped that she was wrong and everything that she said wasn't true.

Remus looked at her dumbfounded, mouth open. Sweat formed on the edge of his brows. She could hear his heart thumping from fear. His entire body was shaking, and his face had paled to an unimaginable extent.

"How, how, did you- Oh Merlin, oh god..." he started mumbling while pacing through the room.

"Remmy, listen to me. Listen to me".

"No, no, no, no, no, you were NOT supposed to find out. Oh god, oh god..."

"REMUS STOP," Audrey screamed with a tone of finality, making the boy look at her in surprise. She walked over to him and grasped his shoulders.

"Get a hold of yourself, calm down,".

"I need to leave Hogwarts.".

"I'm sorry, WHAT!?".

"Now that you know my secret, I need to leave,".

"And why the hell is that!?".

"BECAUSE, I am a monster, a beast, I need to leave. You'd never accept me. You'll tell everybody about me and nothing's going to be the same anymore! THAT'S WHY!" he roared at Audrey.

"You really think that low of me! I'd never tell anybody about you. And you are NOT a monster. You are still my friend." she spoke sharply.

"Sure, now you've got a bit of a, a monthly problem, but that's it. You are still the same Remus to me." she said, her voice a little softer, calming him down.

"So, you aren't scared of me?" he asked, looking into her eyes.

"Me? Scared of you? Honey, I'm sorry, but I don't think could ever be scared of you," she said, making them both laugh. Remus smiled at her, and immediately pulled her into a huge bear hug.

"Thank you," he softly mumbled into her blonde hair. She lightly hummed in response. And that's when Remus took an oath to never let anybody hurt her, ever again.
