"B-but like...h-how?" I stuttered when I saw, what seemed like a wolfish grin on the wolves face. It's impossible. Turning into a wolf...so he was a werewolf? I thought as i recalled a book I read about people that could turn into wolves, but that was a fantasy. Well, I guess I thought it was a fantasy.

Things just didn't add up; if a supernatural being was living in this world, wouldn't there be more of them? Maybe other types of supernaturals too? And wouldn't the human species know about them? However, when I found Ash, he was locked in a room, so we're there really other supernaturals? Or was he some kind of experiment that was made in the lab?

I snapped out of the endless questions in my head that kept increasing by the second, and turned my attention back to the wolf, or should I say Ash, who was now right besides me. Despite my panicking state, I unintentionally brought up my hand towards his furry head, but hesitated to touch him when my hand was about an inch away. I was taken aback when he leaned towards my hand himself, and allowed me to stroke his soft fur. It was nice and strangely calming, and it felt as though all the panic I just felt had vanished and I'm pretty sure Ash enjoyed it too when he gave a low growl of satisfaction.

"Attention all workers, The lockdown may last a few more hours due to the current situation of the experiment that went wrong in the science lab, and our senior scientists have still not identified the culprit whom used the harmful substance in the experiment. You must remain in your rooms, until further notice. Thank you." The speaker that announced the lockdown, now made her second announcement, successfully scaring me with her sudden, loud voice from the speaker.

A sudden thought clicked in my head: if we're on lockdown, perhaps I could try seeing what is on the other restricted floor.

Danny did say that I'd find answers on both of the floors, the only problem was what to do with Ash, who was some kind of werewolf supernatural. I moved my hand away from his midnight black fur, allowing a cold feeling of loss to crawl on to my hand, with the warmth of his fur I'd let go of.

"I need to go somewhere..." I trailed off, not knowing what else to say.

His soft whimper sent a pang of guilt into my chest, and had me debating strongly on whether I should leave or not.

Of course you do, this might be your one chance to do this, my subconscious told me.

What would I do about Ash then? I mean I'm not sure if I should take him with me just I case someone spotted him and might recognise him. However, if I didn't take him, someone could enter my room, possibly Dr Turner if he is searching the rooms again, and they could end up finding him.

Take him, it is. Now the problem was that I couldn't sneak around with a wolf, especially because his pitch black fur would contrast a lot with the white walls in the hallways and stuff.

"Could you- umm, you know, change back into your, what do you call it, human form?" I asked, making weird hand gestures along the way. Obviously he understood, despite the hand gestures, and went towards the closet door, after he picked up his clothes in his mouth.

He growled a bit, as if he was trying to communicate with me. Communicate?

"Hey wolfie, I don't actually know how to speak wolf language, you see I'm human."

The wolf looked at me then at the door, and then began to nudge his head against the door handle. Oooooh right, I mentally smacked myself for being so clueless, and hurried to open the closet door for him, closing it after he went in.

I flinched as I heard the bones cracking loudly again, but waited patiently for him to come out. He wore a cosy looking Adidas black shirt, the logo printed in white, and matching trainers along with his black jeans. His eyes were changed back to his original golden brown colour and his cheeks regained their natural pink tint. He looked heavenly and built, but also innocent.
