Chapter 3.2- Hope
Bakugo got a text an hour before the two of you were supposed to meet, you explained that it was important and you'd tell him why later. It was important, a new doctor had called, a man with a hearing quirk, he could inhance the hearing of himself or any living thing near him. Apparently he was able to enhance the hearing of his mother, who was hard of hearing, permanently. The doctor talked slow, allowing you to read his lips as he explained what would happen, the man would have to hold onto you, he explained that touch apparently caused his quirk to only affect one person. "Won't we have to test to see if his quirk even works on her?" Your mother questions. With a short nod the man sits next to you, grabbing your arm which causes you to jump and activates his quirk. You look at your mom, watering eyes as nothing changes. You shake your head causing both her and the doctor to slump down. You were hoping to surprise your friends with actual results. "Maybe next time" The look of pity on his face made you cringe. The little hope you had to be able to hear again was only shrinking.
