Chapter 5.1-
Sound

Two years since you graduated university, a year since you started working at a preschool for deaf children, 6 years since you've spoken to the current number two hero. It was an easy choice career wise, you wanted these children to accept themselves, you didn't want anyone to be able to hurt them like you had been hurt.
Six months ago you're doctor had sent an email. Mei Hatsume, now respected around the world for her various inventions had heard of you. She wanted to help. You met the girl two months ago, she explained how she would beable to help you hear again, you only laughed at her. You'd lost hope at this point, so when you sat infront of her, her presenting you with small hearing aids, you didnt really feel anything.
"I made sure that these would pass quirk barriers." She explains, you easily reading her lips. When you flipped the small switch on them you weren't expecting anything, and you definitely weren't expecting to hear a voice.
"Do they work?" You only stared amazed.
"Y... yeah" You murmer, to make it easier for parents to understand you, you had started taking speech therapy. It was difficult since you couldn't hear your own voice, but they said you improved. Now hearing it, you could distinguish easily between the words you said.
"Wonderful!" Hatsume says, acting as if she didnt just develop an aid that even the best doctors couldn't.

You made sure to tell everyone you knew, your mom, Jirou, Izuku, Kirishima. You stayed in contact with all of them. Then you landed on Bakugo's contact. Six years, could you even face him after leaving him on that bridge? Then you felt the stabbing pain of guilt in your chest and you realized you couldn't.

"She can hear now" Deku says, Bakugo only paused. After all these years Deku still made sure that he knew you were ok. He looks up at the number one hero to see a blinding smile. Bakugo wanted to see you, desperately, but every time he went to contact you, he realized that you didn't want to see him. He didn't know how wrong he was.
"When?" The blonde grunts
"She got the aids today. She's actually been living around here for a year now." Bakugo clenches the mug he's holding, almost breaking it under the force.
"You've seen her."
"Of course I have, every time we meet up, we always get on the topic of you."
"About how she doesn't want to see me?"
"Actually, about how much she wants to." Bakugos eyes widen, the mug crumbling in his grip, "She still feels guilty for... the incident." Bakugo was barely listening. Knowing that you still want to see him causing his heart to beat rapidly.
"Should I-"
"She works at a preschool, I'm going over tomorrow as a treat for the kids. You're coming" Deku interrupts, only snickering at the sight of his friends eyes widening.
