Chapter 2.3- Thrown Out
Bakugo didn't know why he was back there that Tuesday. He knocked at the door and it opened to reveal Kyoka Jirou. He wasn't expecting that. "Bakugo." She greets. "I'm here to see (y/n)" He says, trying to be as much like his "normal" self as possible. "She's not here" Bakugo glances to the side to see the girl peacefully reading a book. "But she's-" he points behind her. "She's not here." The girl states before glaring, "She's not going to be some charity case to make you feel better about yourself." The door closes as quickly as it opened, leaving Bakugo stunned. Maybe next week
Next Tuesday comes, he knocks only to reveal Jirou. "She's not here" She cuts in as he opens his mouth, "We're dating so leave us alone." Bakugo could only stare. Next thing he knows, Deku is infront of him. "Hey Jirou!" He says sweetly. "Midoriya." She greets, same deadpan expression. "Hey lets go over here!" He says nervously trying to drag her off, only for her to pull back, hard glare set on Bakugo. As the two struggle people take notice walking to the door, and that's when she spots him. He bolts. He runs as quick as he can ending up at the bridge outside of the community center. He takes deep breaths, you'd think training to be a pro hero would give him better stamina. As he stands straight he lets out a not so manly scream at the sight of you. You wave with a smile, and he waves back dumbfounded. 'I...' god this is embarrassing, 'I came to see you' He signs, looking down at the water below them. 'I'm sorry again.' He finally makes eye contact with the girl. She was smiling, giggling at his words before pulling out that damn (f/c) notebook. Bakugo had read through that notebook more times than he can count, he knows the contents like the back of his hand, he knows on what page and where every insult his friends wrote before handing the book to him to throw out the window. He didn't want you to read it, he wanted you to ignore it, tear it up infront of him. Anything but reading it. It sounds stupid to give someone a book and not want them to read it, but Bakugo had been telling himself for 4 years that when you get that book back, he'll be at peace. He most definitely was not at peace. As the (h/c) girl moved to flip through the book he snatched it from her, her cheeks puffing out at the action. 'It's better if you don't read this' he's quick to sign, her head only tilts in confusion. 'I don't want you reading the insults' He signs weakly, he wasn't lying. She gives a nod of understanding before reaching for the book. You wanted to know what they really thought back then. You let out a squeal when the book was quickly reduced to ash by the boys quirk, pleading look on his face. You giggle at the action and take a step closer to the explosive boy. 'You've changed' You sign earning a soft smile and a nod in response. Bakugo didn't want the girl to know how bad he had it after she left, he didn't want there to be a chance for her to feel any sort of guilt. You stiffen when you feel your phone buzz in your pocket, taking it out you see a text from Kyoka, saying your mother wants you home. It's always been like Kyoka to look after you, even when she's a little younger. Next thing you know she's by your side. "You know I'm not really dating her right" She says with a snicker. "Of course I did." Bakugo lied, who could blame him? He thought Jirou gave off bi energy, so he wasn't surprised when she said that the two were dating. "I'm her cousin" Is all she says before dragging you away.
