Chapter 5.2-
Surprise'Ok children, I have a treat for you all' Short, excited gasps fill the room as you sign to the children. You cherished these kids, you felt as if they were you as a kid and you wanted them to be ok. One of the kids, Kai, raised his hand excitedly, small fireworks popping from his fingers in excitement. You point at the boy, warm smile on your face.
'What's the suprise?' He signs, all the kids signed slowly, they were still new to it but it was easy to read.
'Well.....' A mischievous smirk settles on your face, 'I have a hero coming in.' Excited gasps fill the room, the children were all fans of Deku, and you were lucky to have him as your friend. 'He should be here soon' You sign. You beamed when you heard the door to the small schoolhouse open, only to pause when along with Deku walked in Bakugo Katsuki. The man you loved but couldn't face. You both stood speechless, staring at eachother. You could tell he had matured since you last saw him, his jawline was somehow sharper, but his eyes were still so kind.
"Baku... go?" You murmer, you couldn't believe it was him, even if he wasn't even far away to begin with.
"Hey (y/n)" Deku casually says, a smile on his face, "Ill leave you two be, where are the kids?" You only point and soon after he leaves you hear excited cheers from the kids.
"Been a while hasn't it?" He questions, his voice was rough but soft.
"I'm sorry..." You say quietly taking a step towards him, then you were in his arms. The urge to start sobbing right there was overwhelming.
"Save the tears for later, loser." He teases, you only laugh in response.
"The kids are over here." You say leading him into the small room, there sat all the kids rapidly signing at Deku, but when they spotted bakugo they seemed to get even more excited.
"Ground Zero!" Mika, a small girl who was extremely hard of hearing squeals. Her hearing aids were working for the most part, allowing her to hear while reading someone's lips. A lot of the kids in your class had hearing aids, only a select few were completely deaf, but with you having been completely deaf, they were comfortable using sign language. The kids who could hear the small girl gasped at the name, you would never tell the blonde, but all the kids idolized him after it came out that he wore hearing aids. They worshipped the man. The children crowd around Bakugo, a soft but awkward smile settling onto his face. Bakugo had never been the best with kids, but he has been improving.
"I cant believe you did this." You scold your green haired best friend, the smile on your face betraying your words.
"They seem to love him." Izuku says completely ignoring your statement.
"They worship him" You whisper, the laugh from Izuku causing you to burst into laughter. The sound of it made Bakugo pick his head up and stare, admiring the person he'd been thinking about nonstop for six years. The tug on his hero suit brings his attention down to a small boy.
'Do you like Miss (L/n)?' He signs slowly, Bakugo only unconsciously nods, only to realize what he did when the kid ran over to his teacher.
Kai tugged at your shirt to get your attention, you smiling and hoisting him up in your arms.
'Ground Zero loves you!' He signs with a short giggle, more small fireworks popping from his fingers. His quirk reminded you of Bakugo. You giggle in response.
You look at the blonde hero and lock eyes with him, him seemingly oblivious to the toddlers trying to get his attention.
"C'mon Ground Zero, the kids want to talk" You tease, not missing the hue covering his cheeks.
'Fuck you' He mouths, smile on his face.
