Your POV

Even though I had training the next morning I decided it was best to wait to tell Rin about the volleyball team for two reasons. Number one, I should at least see how the practice match today goes first before making any calls and number two I simply was not a morning person. I know what you're thinking why would someone who's not a morning person choose a sport with 5am practice. And if I'm being completely honest I don't really know the answer. Maybe it was just dedication, maybe it was the fact that i had the rest of the day to myself or maybe it was because I liked not having to think for once.

For a brief period of time my body and mind are separate. My body moves by itself freely while my mind is like a static tv. Rin was well used to my apathetic morning form. "Morning sleepyhead" he greeted ruffling my hair.

"Mmmm" was the only sound I made in response. Rin knew this translated to "Good morning , remove your hand from my head or I'll drown you later when I wake up properly."

"Tut tut that's not how you greet your Captain now is it" he said wagging his finger. He knew this was the only time he could tease me without me retaliating. I just stared back at him expressionless. He could literally say anything and I'd have no reaction. It was as if someone had switched my brain off.

Once everyone had finished stretching it was time to hit the pool.

~Time Skip~

The bell rang indicating that school was over for the day. I packed my things up at lightning speed so that I'd be able to catch Tsukki and Yams before they left. They were already at the doorway. "Guys wait for me" I called after the two. Yamaguchi stopped in his tracks while Tsukishima just kept on walking.

"You're coming to practice with us ?" Yamaguchi asked curiously "Does that mean you're going to be our coach? " his face lit up.

"No I haven't made any decision yet Yams sorry. Coach said I should come to watch the game today is all" I explained. His face dropped in disappointment.

"Now come on before Tsukki escapes us" I grabbed his wrist and ran to catch up with Tsukishima. Yamaguchi tailed behind me.

"You can't get away that easily" I said to Tsukki, now that we were walking alongside him.

"I know, I've tried but you're like a parasite" he whined.

"Push me away all you want Tsukki but I'm like a boomerang I'll always come back" I joshed.

"Why are you following us anyway, don't tell me you're actually considering becoming a coach" he snidely remarked.

"Like i told Yams I haven't made any decision yet. But I have to admit the idea of bossing you around is very tempting" I stuck my tongue out at him. I seemed to have struck a nerve in Tsukishima.

"Sure you can try teach Hinata to jump but then what huh ? What about everyone else. What can you do for them and me, oh yeah that's right, nothing." His harsh words were like a slap to the face.

"Tsukki" Yamaguchi shook his head disapprovingly.

For once i had no snappy comeback. In fact I had no words at all. I averted my gaze from the two boys and walked in silence alongside them looking down at my feet. He's not wrong though I sighed. Although Tsukishima may have been a tad too harsh how could I say anything when he was right.

Tsukishima's POV

Why isn't she saying anything, it's not like her to be silent. I looked over at her in anticipation of some sly remark. It never came. I knew she was tough. Anything I had thrown her way so far didn't seem to phase this girl. I sort of liked having someone around who was just as snarky as me but I'm sure as hell not going to tell her that. However everyone has a line and I guess I finally crossed hers. Yet I didn't feel the satisfaction i normally got from humiliating people, for some reason I felt bad. Guess she just couldn't handle the truth I concluded. I was drawn out of my thoughts by the sound of Hinata and Kageyama arguing as per usual. I must have been pretty deep in thought because I don't remember arriving at the gym.
