A/N- Hey guys I had so much fun with this chapter. I really tried to get the characters personalities right. Hope you enjoy :)

Your POV

I am ✨stupid✨. What was I thinking. I don't know how to spike a volleyball, I'm going to make a fool of myself in front of the entire team I was now mentally panicking. 

"Show us then" Kageyama snarled. All eyes were on me. Suga looked at me in concern "You don't have to if you don't want to" he proposed.

"No no it's not that, I just don't know how to spike is all" i said scratching the top of my head.

"You just focus on the jump then and leave it up to Kageyama to get the ball to you" he said with a reassuring smile. On one hand Suga had calmed my nerves, while on the other I was now worried about the fact that Kageyama would be the one setting for me. We didn't exactly get off to the best start and based off the fact that I could currently feel his eyes burning two holes into the back of my head, meant he still wasn't very fond of me.

I shuffled my way to the back line of the court so that I'd have enough space to get in a good run up. "Give me a little nod when you're ready" Suga instructed.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in. Focus on the jump, it's just like a start i told myself. I exhaled back out, clearing my mind of all thoughts. My eyes shot open. I was in deep concentration. I ever so slightly nodded my head, indicating to Suga that I was about to start my run up. I dashed to the mid way line. From there I positioned myself into half a starting stance. My right leg was extended out in front, with my left leg further behind bent at an angle slightly wider than 90 degrees. I lowered my hips shifting my weight to my rear before swiftly pushing my body forward transferring all my weight onto the balls of my feet. I used my hind leg to drive the momentum. I shot up into the air. I flung  my arms up to propel me further. My torso was now fully extended mid flight. Out of force of habit I automatically locked my arms into a streamlined position. Once I realised this I let my left arm drop so that only my right arm was left extended up, ready to hit the ball. I soared through the air, time seemed to stop, almost as if everything was happening in slow motion. I eventually reached the peak of my jump. My hips were above the top of the net. I pulled back my right hand as if I was about to slap the ball. SMACK.

No, that wasn't the sound of me hitting the ball, but the sound of the ball whacking me in the side of my face. Although Kageyama had pin point accuracy, no one would have guessed that I'd jump that high. The ball was right on target, just a good few inches too low down. The impact snapped me back into reality. The right side of my face was now tingling. That's when I realised just how high up I was. Gravity took over and I was now plummeting downwards. Based off the height I was falling from, I knew if I didn't bend my legs upon impact I'd cause some serious damage to my body. I landed down on one knee as if I was about to propose except my back was huddled forward. I used my right arm to steady myself. Once stable I pushed back up off the floor to stand up. I turned around to face the awestruck players. Even Coach Ukai seemed to be taken aback.

"OHH YEAAAAAAAHHHHH" Tanaka and Noya roared while running around as if they had just lost their minds. I was suddenly lifted into the air by the two, however since Noya was shorter than Tanaka the lift ended up being lopsided. "Put her down" Daichi ordered. I was carefully placed back down onto my two feet.

"THAT WAS AWESOME" Hinata yelled dumbfounded. He raced towards me jumping up to grab hold of my shoulders. "PLEASE TEACH ME TO JUMP LIKE THAT PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE" he begged shaking me back and forth. He shook me so vigorously that I got motion sickness ! I grasped both his arms to stop him from shaking me. I then lowered his arms and placed my own hands onto his shoulders. "I'd be happy to" I declared. "But you do realise I didn't even hit the ball" I laughed it off.
