~Nanners' POV~
I stare after Chilled curiously as he hurries away from sight, wondering whatever could be so important for him to leave so urgently to leave this delicious pizza to become cold. Faintly in the background of the restaurant I hear a mentioning of "SeaNanners" and I immediately shift my attention over to the television mounted in a corner on the ceiling, illuminating an image of the whole blockade they have set up in front of Mrs. Pennington's old house. That's right, the attack is supposed to be in around three hours, they always set up extra early which should be a good idea but reporters always manage to completely destroy any privacy they manage to set up. There is a man being interviewed I recognize as being Sark who had also been injured during the first attack although he seems to be annoyed with the reporters and giving extremely faint details, too faint for me to make any use of them. Behind him the other man who I'm uncomfortable with seems to be talking to other policemen, ordering them and taking on a responsible role it seems. What I note is the man in the distance by a police car, leaning on the police car door is a man I recognize as one of Chilled's friends talking on the phone. Could that be just who's talking with Chilled right now? Before I can observe more the image cuts to the regular news, the beautiful man and woman speaking happily in front of the camera like usual.
Could they be having troubles at the scene? I somewhat hope that the call Chilled is receiving is a cry for help and Chilled will end up having to go. When I spot Chilled walking through the front doors of the restaurant seeming to be in a rush I feel my hopes rise. I watch him then he suddenly crashes into another customer who completely drops a cup filled with some sort of red drink all over Chilled's red and white shirt. Although I should be worried I find myself laughing immediately, just watching as Chilled seems to panic and apologize to the man who just seems worried about the mess they made. He really is a clumsy idiot sometimes. I rise from my spot, leaving the money for the meal on the table despite having Chilled tell me he'll pay, I feel like the store deserves the one hundred dollars I left for having a pretty good laugh at Chilled. Chilled spots me walking towards him and seems to burn up in embarrassment, only making me laugh more as I approach and press my hand towards his shoulder, slightly listening to the worker say it's alright and that she'll clean up.
"Come on, you need to get out of those clothes before you freeze to death outside. My house isn't far, let's stop by there," I suggest and although he seems hesitant he nods, turning away from the mess and I walk behind him silently. He doesn't notice as I slide out of my coat and wrap it around him from behind, making him jump and quickly turn to glance at me but he doesn't expect me to be so close as he immediately backs away as he nearly bumps into me.
"Adam, you'll be freezing," he mutters, his voice refusing to emit a higher volume but I just giggle at his adorable embarrassed voice.
"It's fine, we'll be in my house in an instant and those wet clothes will freeze outside in an instant. I think you'll be more cold. Let's go," I push him gently towards the door without his consent, sending the cold wave push right towards us, making me shiver immediately but more so Chilled, who pulls my coat closer towards him and shoves his arms into the sleeves. I find myself smile at him when he was so reluctant to wear it he seems absolutely fine with it now. Digging my hands into my pockets to find at least warmth in my pockets, I guide Chilled down the street and to the right, right into a large residential district in which I had bought my house. Although I had the money to buy the house immediately, the large amount of money already at my disposal, it'd cause suspicions around here of course. These are nice houses too, very upper middle class houses that reside in a good neighborhood as well.
Finding my house, a large white one with a black fence blocking it off from the people on the streets, I guide Chilled past the gate and towards the front door towering above him as a grand wooden brown door. I fish for my keys through my pockets as Chilled pulls my coat closer to him, making me feel a bit of ownership over him although it's a really wrong feeling to have. As soon as I open the door Chilled rushes in past me, holding the coat close to him but as soon as he enters the warm house he sighs in relief although he still keeps a hold onto my coat, understandable since his clothes is probably freezing by now. Once I'm inside I breathe in my own sigh of relief, shaking off my arms in sweet relief the cold is now missing. When I notice a pair of eyes on me I glance over to Chilled and smirk as he looks to me with big and guilty eyes while he continues to hold onto my coat, his actions not seeming guilty at all contrary to his expression.
