"You fall in love too easily!"
That was the tease. Something Yamaguchi was quick to deny and Terushima had clearly doubted him. A mini dispute beginning between them in which Yamaguchi stated that Terushima was way worse compared to him.
And so that's how their small bet had started.
"I bet I can make you fall in love with me first."
"You're on!"
A silly little bet between the two. The winner would get to decide on a tattoo the other would get- something Terushima had insisted on, going on about how Yamaguchi should already start preparing himself for the tattoo. And Yamaguchi had only agreed because this was a bet he was confident about.
It's been some time since that bet had been made. So far there had been no 'winner' ad the subject was only brought up in banter and teases.

But it had seemed that this bet had started to bug one of the friends. Something he had tried to brush off as nothing though as time did pass it became the complete opposite as they noticed small things about the other that he was sure wasn't normal for him to be so hung up on. Like the expressions, he would make or the way his voice would completely change when talking to a small animal or even his messy bed hair after he had slept over.
Turned out nothing was sure something. And he dreaded bringing it up.
It was Friday evening, a normal time for them to be hanging out. They both decided to just relax considering they were both tired out from practice. They had both obtained their own 'relax spot' with one of them on the floor, back pressed against the bed as they concentrated on the tv, a remote in their hands. While the other had been laying on the edge of the bed, using a pillow/stuffed animal to prop up his elbow as he was scrolling through his phone, his free hand on top of the other's head, messing with his hair.
That's when he decided to get impulsive.
"Hey."
The game had been paused but he stayed fiddling with the controller as he tilted his head back.
"Mhmm?"
He glanced up from his phone for a short moment.
"I lost the bet."
