So, my take on the song is a girl who has always been very high-achieving falling in love with another girl, but being scared to come to terms with her sexuality due to fears of ruining her reputation. She is constantly tormented by intrusive thoughts that tell her that she has to put her work first, even before taking care of herself and falling in love. Kissing the girl is symbolic of her trying to defy herself and her brain, only for her problems to intensify. It's actually a really deep message and quite a sad song, despite the upbeat tune.

What are your opinions on the message of the song, or do you have anything to add to my analysis? The video of the chapter is a breathtaking animatic of the song that really solidified my theories of the song's message.
