Astrids POV

As I walk out of the hut around midnight I sigh Sorry, Hiccup but I have to do this myself. I walk into the stables and wake up stormfly. "Hey girl were going to look by ourselves," I tell her.

"Are you insane? Not without someone!" Stormfly squawks tiredly.

"Yea yea I know but I have to do this myself its either with or without you," I say. 

"Ugh fine, but you owe me extra chicken! You know I won't let you go by yourself." Stormfly says as she follows me out of the stables. I mount her and we go to the range. "What are we doing here again?"

"If it is my FATHER he would come back here and wait to meet me one on one," I say loud enough for anyone to hear while griping my ax tightly while in an attack stance.

"Congrats, you figured it out. Don't worry it's just me no one else knows I've been following you. I had to know if you joined them on your free will or not." Dad congratulates me then explains. After he explained I sighed and put my ax away but told stormfly to be on alert. I went and hugged him then returned to Stormflys side.

"It's pretty funny actually, I thought it was you from the begging. But to answer your question, Yes, I did join willingly papa they aren't what we thought they are. Me and Hiccup left because we knew Berk wouldn't change their minds about dragons." I explain happy and Sad at the same time.

"I understand, we are pretty...stubborn. I believe you about dragons because two years ago I was saved by a Nadder I named Buster and kept him a secret since" Dad reveals.

I gasp but I am still were so I say "Prove it, I want to see the Nadder, I'm sorry but I am being careful."

"I can't right now but tomorrow I can because he's hiding right now plus we both have to get back," He says.

"Okay..." I say as I mount stormfly to go on our morning flight. That's weird, I feel like I shouldn't trust him. It seems too good to be true. 

"No offense Astrid but I don't trust your dad, I know there are nadders on the edge but there haven't been any new nadders on the edge here since the last batch," Stormfly roars.

"I don't either, It seems too good to be true..." I say to stormfly "Should I tell Hiccup? I mean he trusts people too easily in situations like this."

"I don't know but you do have a point about Hiccup. I say we search the entire island ourselves today to see if there's a new nadder if not we tell hiccup and say we didn't find a nadder." Stormfly squawks.

"Alright, let's do that I'm glad I can talk to you about this," I agree while scratching her scales. Once we land at the clubhouse and it's empty. "Uhh, let's check the huts and then the stables...this is weird"

"agreed" Stormfly roars worriedly.

"Okay if they aren't in here we have something to worry about," I say starting to worry. As we land and walk into the stables and see everything as we left it including the dragons are still asleep. "Okay, I'm DEFINITELY worried"
