Keith's POV:

I walked past Lance, about to go into the room. Then I felt him yank me back. He pulled me over and pushed us against the wall. I was about to yell at him, but he covered my mouth with his hand, shushing me with the other.

That's when I heard it, and felt it. Someone was using alchemy in there. I nodded to Lace, and he let me go. We inched back over to the door, looking around the room. Up high was a druid floating on a bit crystal, shooting lightning at a big sphere with quintessence inside it.

"Okay, I'm going to grab one of the quintessence jars coming out. Watch him for me." I said, watching one about to pass the door.

"Got it." Lance replied. After a few seconds, I jumped over and grabbed the jar. I took cover on the other side of the door, glancing back inside. The druid was still working. I smirked, looking back at Lance. He was about to smirk back, but then his expression fell.

I felt a sharp pain as nails dug in, puncturing passed my armor and back bodysuit, cutting into my shoulder. "AHHH!" I screamed as I was thrown around and into the room with the quintessence. I skipped off the floor, sliding onto my feet.

That's when I realized I was no longer holding the jar. I looked up, and the druid was floating towards me. He doesn't seem to have found Lance there yet. I pulled out my bayard and snarled at the druid.

"Alright, fine. We'll do this the hard way." I growled, charging at him. He came charging at me as well. Before I could swing, he disappeared. Uh oh.

Lance's POV:

I looked in, watching as the druid reappeared right behind Keith. I was about to yell out, but he had spun around so fast, slicing right into the druid's chest. The druid screamed, blasting Keith with electricity.

"AHHH!" Keith screamed as he flew back into some quintessence containers. It spilled out all over him as he landed on his hands and knees. I was about to get up and run in, but Keith whipped his head up, glaring fiercely at the druid. His eyes were yellow with purple irises, his fangs had sharpened too.

"He's pissed." I thought as I ducked back a little. "You're dead!" Keith yelled out as he got to his feet. Instantly, I watched as Keith suddenly appeared only a foot away from the druid. He jumped back in shock, and Keith smirked. His quintessence-covered fists balled up, and he delivered an ear shattering blow.

Honestly, the connection was so big and powerful, all of the quintessence casings shattered. The druid flew back into the broken cases, being impaled by all of the glass. I looked back to Keith wide-eyed, and he was breathing hard.

"...Holy shit."
