Maria's POV:

I shivered as I watched thousands of droplets fall down from the sky.

Rain... Great!

I was just in my hoodie and my oversized sweats.

It was around 5 in the morning and I didn't have a cellphone, money or my gun but I had too much pride to go back.

Now I was sitting at the nearby bus station, hiding under the small roof. The rain was pouring down and it frustrated me but calmed me down at the same time.

I didn't really like rain... It was wet and hard to walk or go anywhere while it lasts.

The bus slowly stopped at the station and I weighed my options... I could stay here and wait for the rain to stop and then go somewhere or... I could go on the bus towards one of my friends from my father's mafia...

I sighed and stood up as I entered the almost empty bus.

Except me there were two more people.

One woman in her thirties and a man at the back whom I couldn't see his face.

I always like to inspect a space in where I'm going in. In this life... I couldn't never be safe enough.

And right now I didn't have any weapons nor anything else with me so I felt pretty anxious looking around the bus for something out of place.

Nothing seemed that strange.

I sat somewhere in the middle and the bus already started going.

I started humming the song "Just friends" by Ally Barron. (A/N: I love that song, check it out if you don't know it)

"Oh we're just friends, it's just not right. I'll just wait till the moments right. Cause you're just you and I'm just me, always wished that we could be. Just a little more than this... Just a little more than just friends."

I hummed quietly to myself. Suddenly I saw the guy from the back going to the driver and pulling a gun yelling: "Stop the fucking bus right now!"

His hands where shaking and he had his hood on, covering his face.

The driver immediately pulled over and stopped.

I was keeping calm. I didn't want to do any sudden movements because he clearly was unstable.

He then turned around and pointed the gun at me.

"You.. up!" He said looking at the floor.

The woman three seats in front of me whimpered.

"Shut up bitch!" He yelled at her, pointing the gun at her now.

I rolled my eyes and quickly got up, holding my hands in the air.

"OK, OK. I'm up. It's alright." I said slowly as I got up from my seat towards him, trying to catch his eyes but he avoided looking at me.

I approached him slowly and when we were at enough close distance I lifted my leg and kicked the gun out of his hand.

He stiffened as I quickly grabbed the gun and pointed at him.

"Who the fuck are you?" I said, cocking the gun.

He visibly gulped.

"Look at me!" I yelled.

His eyes slowly met mine and I reached to pull his hood down.

As I did I was met with the familiar face... My younger brother stood in front of me.

I gasped.
