Maria's POV:
I just got to my room and still couldn't believe that it was already my seventeen birthday.
I took of my clothes and got in the shower. I washed my hair and quickly dried it.
I did my make up and my hair.
I chose to wear a black dress with a high cut at the left leg.I put my hair in a lose ponytail and let my natural curls do it's work.
I put my holster on my right thigh and put a gun in it.
You can never be safe enough.
When I felt like I was ready I came out, down the steps and there stood a handsome as ever looking Matteo.
He had his black suit with a silver tie and black shoes. He, of course, had his rolex watch around his wrist and a gun around his waist for almost everyone to see.
He licked his lips and put his hand on my back.
"You look beautiful, malena." He whispered in my ear. (Little one)
I smiled: "Not so bad yourself." I said to him in a hushed tone and I could see a smirk on his lips.
"Just admit that you can't take your eyes of me." He said a little too cocky.
I rolled my eyes: "You wish."
He helped me get into this big limousine and he got in beside me.
He told something very quietly to his driver that I didn't catch on to and he closed the black window that separated us from the driver.
I was excited but also nervous. I didn't expect anything from him, yet here h we are.
The ride wasn't long and we quickly stopped at one restaurant with five starts downtown.
I gasped when we got out of the car in front of the expensive restaurant.
"You know... I would settle for MacDonald's just fine." I said and chuckled.
"I know you would and honestly I would too. But since we will have many more opportunities, I meant for the first time to be here." He said, grinning.
I nodded my head and he put his hand on the small of my back.
When we got in, the restaurant was empty.
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"Why is no one here?" I asked curiously.
This is one of the best restaurants in the city and it's weird that no one is here, especially at this time of the day.
"That's because I bought everything." He said and winked at me.
The waitress greeted us and right away she knew who he is and settled us at the nearby table.
When she gave us our menus and when she went away I shook my head.
"You didn't have to do that!" I whisper yelled.
"You know.... I bought everything for tonight for you, you don't have to whisper. No one will hear you." He said sarcastically.
"Really funny." I said.
"Just a "thank you" is enough, Maria." He said bringing his glass of red wine to his lips.
I didn't say thank you of course. I would say it if he didn't tell me to say it.
The rest of the dinner went by perfectly. We chatted, laughed and even talked a little about his business and shipments. We talked about my missions and about all sorts of stuff from back in Croatia.
